The Hayloft nestles below the craggy, wooded slopes of Craigmore beside the River Forth. It has its own private garden and parking. Lots of birds and red squirrels visit the feeders.
It's a short walk to the shops, pubs and cafes in the village of Aberfoyle.
There are miles of walking and cycling routes right on the doorstep, and Loch Ard is a few minutes away for boating and fishing. You are close to mountains for hill walking.
Enjoy the wildlife and good food in welcoming restaurants and shops in the surrounding Trossachs villages. Go Ape Adventure Park is in Aberfoyle and there's a golf course and horse riding nearby.

The ability to have a quiet hideaway during 2 busy weeks of COP26 has been perfect.
Only 50 minutes (30 min driving to Milgivie & 20 minute train) to Glasgow was perfect.
With the ability to retreat to the quiet surroundings of Aberfoyle is well deserved.
Plus the Trossachs on the doorstep to visit
Owners have been perfect hosts too.

Absolutely spot on
We arrived at an ideal house in a lovely quiet location, house was spotlessly clean, and well appointed, we never actually met the owners! But then everything was explained in a booklet in the house,new would definitely return, aberfoyle is a lovely quiet village , with good facilities and lovely shops.

A great escape!!!
A lovely trip to The Hayloft for Hogmany. We got everything that we hoped for, a lovely place to stay, peace and quiet with fantastic walks and stunning scenery with great watering holes and places to eat. Very friendly people, will definitely be back!!!

Fantastic peaceful location and very private. The gardens are beautiful & watching red squirrels & the variety of birds feeding was super.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay & would love to return sometime.

Excellent and spotlessly ckean
My husband and I have just spent a week at the hayloft. Everything you could want or need is on hand. We had lovely NB weather, but if it was not good there are books games to suit everyone. Would fully recommend to couples or families. Dogs also loved it

Lovely!
Jack booked the hayloft for his 30th birthday and we had a wonderful time! It was such a comfortable stay and we appreciated the small touches, especially the books! Poor Little Egg Boy was our favourite! I look forward to visiting again!

Ideal base
The Hayloft is the perfect base for exploring the Trossachs. It is quite small but has everything you need.We had a great week(weather a huge bonus) Walks, places to eat & a small amount of shops are all a short walk away. Stirling and Callander not far by car either. The hosts Dorothy and Neil (and of course Finn the black Lab)were very kind,friendly & informative. We would recommend to others.

Had a fantastic break at The Hayloft. Accommodation has everything you would need and small extra touches of wine and shortbread a lovely surprise.

Lovely little cottage with everything you need
The Hayloft is a lovely little home from home. Ideally situated just outside of Aberfoyle with easy access to Callander and Go Ape. There's plenty of walks in the area right from the cottage or just a short drive away. If your looking for a quiet getaway then this suits perfectly. We all had a fantastic time, kids and dog included!
