Hillcrest Cottage has been recently refurbished to a high standard and offers a fully equipped kitchen, lounge/dining room with wood-burning stove, two tastefully decorated bedrooms and a modern family bathroom with bath and electric shower. All bed linen and towels supplied. The lounge has french doors leading to a good-sized garden with large patio area with seating for four. Aberfoyle is situated within the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park and offers a wide range of activities for all the family. Go Ape and the visitor centre, located in Queen Elizabeth Forest Park, are within walking distance. The Queen Elizabeth Forest Park is home to a wide variety of wildlife, including the elusive red squirrel.
Water sports are available in nearby Kinlochard and Loch Katrine offers boat rides on the world renowned SS Sir Walter Scott. Aberfoyle Golf Club is nearby and welcomes visitors. Aberfoyle is an ideal base for walking, cycling, fishing and bird watching.

Schöne Unterkunft und guter Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen
Wir haben uns hier sehr wohl gefühlt. Es ist bequem und für 2 Personen sehr geräumig. Bei 4 Personen wird's allerdings schon ein wenig eng, ist aber machbar. Alles Wichtige ist vorhanden, es könnte ein bisschen mehr Geschirr und Besteck sein. Die Terrasse ist wunderbar. Wir hatten einen Grill mit und haben oft draußen gesessen. Wären noch Liegestühle da gewesen, wäre es perfekt ;-)
Das Cottage ist super gelegen – alles ist in 5 Minuten erreichbar: Supermarkt, Gaststätten und andere Geschäfte. Parken kann man direkt vor dem Haus. Aberfoyle an sich ist ein hervorragender Ausgangspunkt für viele Wanderungen und andere Unternehmungen. Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen. Wir können das Cottage und den Ort ohne Bedenken empfehlen.

Sweet, cosy highland cottage
Lovely, cosy accommodation. Really nice large garden/terrace. Modern and well equipped. Perfect getaway for up to 4 people. Convenient for village and exploring the area. Would definitely recommend this sweet little cottage

Beautiful Stunning Cottage in the lovely Aberfoyle
This is the most stunning place I’ve stayed in and it makes it even more special when you see the work from how this cottage started. There isn’t anything I could fault. It had everything you needed to be home from home including all those little extras and welcome tea, coffee and milk in the fridge. The decor is beautiful, and the garden views are spectacular. I’ve camped in Aberfoyle before which is a lovely place and am looking at moving to Scotland and this was a trail run for location and with a cottage like this made me want to live here even more than I did.

Great weekend in cosy cottage
Just had a lovely weekend at this cosy little cottage with our 2 dogs...everything we needed for the weekend...Nice patio area and enclosed garden for the dogs...only 2 min walk to the village and so many great walks and activities on your doorstep...would definitely recommend and return if we were back in the area.

Fantastic stay
Absolute gem of a cottage. Clean, cosy, well equipped and very comfortable. Lovely location, great for walks and near enough to walk to the village for a bite to eat and a drink. Host was super helpful and quick to respond to any queries. We would not hesitate to come back or to recommend to family and friends. Thank you for a lovely stay x

Simply perfect
A beautiful little cottage with everything you could possibly need. A lovely touch having the means to use the wood burning stove straight away. Could not recommend this cottage enough and I’ll 100% be back! Thank you for a lovely break!

Hillcrest Aberfoyle
Great cottage in a good area for exploring the Trossachs. Cottage has been refurbished to a high standard with everything you need for a good holiday. View from the lounge and patio is fabulous with a great sitting out area. Kitchen is well equipped for self catering. Charles the owner responds immediately to any queries. Overall a great choice for a small party

Perfect cosy cottage
We have just returned from a week stay in Hillcrest Cottage and I have to say that from the moment we walked in the door we were very happy with all aspects of the place. The cottage has been furnished and maintained to a high standard, it’s more like a home from home only a smaller version. I can’t speak any more highly about this place. We will certainly be recommending this to our family and friends and hopefully we will return ourselves in the near future. Thanks again for a lovely holiday (regardless of the weather).

Coming from the M8 northbound take the A82 exit marked Dumbarton. Keep left at the fork and follow signs marked Aberfoyle A81. From M8 Southbound exit at junction 16 marked Aberfoyle A81Follow the A81 to Aberfoyle, turn left at the roundabout at the Rob Roy Hotel towards the village of Aberfoyle (1 mile). At the end of the main street follow the road round to the right following the sign for Callander A821 (A84). Hillcrest Cottage is on the right hand side as you go up the hill directly across from the Memorial Hall.
