I called to book an apartment the one I wanted I thought was nearer to the festival I was going to but it wasn’t and the lady advised me on this which was brilliant as Harbour House was so much better for me so everything started off a lot better than it would have been, this was my first time away for a long time and they helped make my stay a lot more settled than it would have been they were extremely helpful and gave brilliant instructions before check in everything was easy to find and I really loved the place I stayed in, it had everything you needed for a break away. The bed was comfortable and sofa bed was good too. Everything was clean and the view was lovely.
It was nice and quiet but near enough to walk into town for anything you needed I would highly recommend staying here I hope to return next year thank you for a great stay

Superb apartment with views of Araan Island.
This excellent apartment is located on the point of South Harbour with ample parking and an easy to find key box. Our two bedroom apartment was fully equipped, clean and very comfortable. The kitchen was well presented with stove, microwave, dishwasher etc. There was plenty of heating for those cold nights and the windows were all casement style so windy days were not an issue. Check-in and management was excellent...easy to reach and very helpful. We will definitely use Donnini again when in the west of Scotland.

Can't fault at all .
I had originally planned to take my boyfriend away to Edinburgh for his birthday but prices were just super crazy because my boyfriends birthday falls within August and is right in the middle of the fringe festival so I was really happy when my sister recommended donnini apartments. The communication with Laurence was great - he was always very polite, helpful and was always willing to answer any questions I had and quick too! The apartment itself was wonderful, free wifi AND Netflix -I had brought my laptop for no reason ! This was a lovely touch, the apartment was spotlessly clean and filled with lots of useful items : pots, pans, hairdryer, coffee, tea, sugar , even some toiletries! The view from the apartment was gorgeous and I thoroughly enjoyed looking out to the water every morning. The location of the apartment was perfect, there is an Aldi literally a couple of minutes walk from it and only a 15 minute walk from the beach. I loved reading through the guest book and seeing everyone's testimonies to how wonderful their stay had been. I can't wait to come back and look forward to booking up again. I don't think I'll ever stay in a hotel again! Compared to the privacy, comfort and inexpensive living you get with staying in donnini apartments, it's a no brainier not to pay crazy amounts for a hotel . Thanks again Laurence, you made our stay even better.

Comfortable apartment with exceptional customer service
We stayed at Harbour House in August 2017 as we were attending a wedding at Trump Turnberry. This was the first time I had stayed in an apartment rather than a hotel so I was a bit unsure about it at first, however, any concerns were quickly overcome by Laurence and Jake who were excellent hosts and on hand to answer any queries we had about the apartment or surrounding area. Their welcome book was also comprehensive and very informative. The apartment was very clean and tidy and had everything we needed to feel at home including a fully equipped kitchen for cooking. The view was amazing as it looks directly on to the River Ayr - very peaceful if trying to relax. Exceptional value for money - we had a great weekend and will definitely return. I'll be looking for apartments rather than hotels from now on!
