Spacious, comfortable accommodation with rooms retaining many original features including stained glass windows, mahogany panelling in entrance hall, wooden floors throughout, lovely etched glass internal skylight, etc. Bedroom one has a superking size bed, fireplace and bay window with adjacent full bathroom including shower and bath. Bedroom two has a king size bed and ensuite shower room. Large, bright country style dining kitchen with access to rear patio garden. Private sitting room with TV, comfortable seating and original fireplace. This apartment is just a few minutes walk from Glasgow University, and all the facilities and attractions of the historic West End of Glasgow. Sleeps 4

About the neighbourhood
Queensgate House Apartment is in a quiet residential area, but only a a few minutes walk from cosmopolitan Byres Road with its many shops, cafes, restaurants, pubs, markets and two movie theatres. It is also close to Hillhead subway station which provides a quick mean of travel into the city centre. The area is a historic district with red sandstone buildings designed by well-know architects, and many examples of fine stained glass windows. Within the West End of Glasgow is Glasgow University, the Mackintosh House, the Botanic Gardens, Kelvingrove Park, Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, and the new Riverside Museum featuring many exhibits of early Glasgow transport.
