About the neighbourhood
Queensgate Apartment is in a quiet residential area, but only a couple minutes walk from cosmopolitan Byres Road with its many cafes, restaurants, pubs, markets and two movie theatres. It is also close to Hillhead subway station which provides a quick trip into the city centre. The area is a historic district with red sandstone buildings designed by well-know architects, and many examples of fine stain glass windows. Within the West End of Glasgow is Glasgow University, the Mackintosh House, the Botanic Gardens, Kelvingrove Park, Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, and the new Riverside Museum featuring many exhibits of early Glasgow transport.
