This is a beautiful, spacious and bright drawing room flat, on the first floor of a converted Victorian house. Recently refurbished and decorated to a high standard, retaining many period features including the Victorian staircase, cornicing and original marble fireplaces. There are open views across to Arthur's Seat, a famous Edinburgh landmark.
The 2 bedrooms are spacious.The master bedroom has a king sized bed and walk in wardrobe and the second bedroom contains a King sized bed that can be split into 2 single beds if required. A travel cot is available for guests with a baby.

Although access is by key safe, Caroline and Richard ( the owners of the property) stay close by and can pop in to assist you if you have any issues. You will be provided with their contact details prior to arrival. There is a welcome pack in the apartment giving information on the flat and the area.

Loved staying here. Lovely and spacious in a lovely quite location. Easy to get bus in to Edinburgh as bus stop is just over the road.

About the neighbourhood
The Grange is perfectly positioned for guests who want to be in a quiet location but close enough to walk to the major attractions. There are local bars and restaurant within walking distance of the apartment. Golfers can benefit from 2 public courses and Blackford Hill is close enough for an enjoyable walk to blow away those cobwebs!
The apartment is also handy for Edinburgh University and would be perfect for visiting academics, or family visiting students.
Getting around
The 41 bus leaves from just outside the apartment and takes guests to the city centre. However there is a pleasant walk to the city centre via the Meadows park, and local shopping areas in Morningside and Bruntsfield are a short walk from the apartment,

Transport OptionsBy Car - When arriving in Edinburgh head to 1 South Oswald Road EH9 2HQ. There is free parking just on the street outside the apartment.
By Plane - The easiest method is to grab a taxi which is more cost effective than paying the individual fares on the airport bus or tram and you can pre-order a people carrier if required. If you catch a standard black cab the fare will be c 25 GBP each way. Guests can also take the Airport Link bus (Service 100) at Stance 19. You get off at Waverley Station, and grab a taxi to 1 South Oswald Road or pick up a Number 41 bus on Waverley Bridge and get off at the stop at Blackford Avenue (ask the driver to shout when he reaches the stop near South Oswald Road.
