Town: Nestled just a short distance from the bustling city of Dundee, is the charming suburb of Broughty Ferry. Here you will find the Broughty Castle Museum which offers fascinating exhibits as well as impressive views overlooking the River Tay, a good selection of pubs, shops and restaurants where you can sample the local delights, and a gloriously sandy beach that stretches for miles, perfect for bathing or a paddle in the sea.
We boekten deze woning via booking.com en betaalden ongeveer 700 Euro voor 1 week. De ligging was perfect. Wanneer we 's avonds aankwamen dachten we "Whauw", wat een mooi huis. 's morgens aan de ontbijttafel deden we wat kasten open om de tafel te dekken. In de lades en de kasten was het echt niet proper: er lag stof, kruimels van etensresten, glazen kommen die nog vuil waren,... Dan gingen we verder kijken: op de ijskast een laag stof dat je zelden hebt gezien. Dit was ook zo het geval op de kleerkasten, de dikke pluchen kwamen je tegemoet. Als je onder de kasten keek, dan zag je zo tot waar ze gestofzuigd hadden. Echt degoutant. Ik heb die eerst dag onmiddellijk een bericht gedaan naar de eigenaar. Die zei dat hij in het buitenland zat en dat hij contact ging opnemen met de kuisfirma: nooit iets gezien of gehoord. Het strafste van al: bij thuiskomst kregen we een bericht dat er plekken waren op de witte zetels die er volgens hun niet waren. Ze hebben een nieuwe overtrek gekocht en hebben de helft, ongeveer 75 euro gewoon van onze MasterCard gehaald. Ik heb onmiddellijk een mail naar booking.com gedaan waar ik tot op heden nog geen antwoord op gekregen heb. Een familielid van mij in Schotland heeft ook een mail gedaan maar hij kreeg het antwoord dat de mail van mij moest komen. Ik krijg echter geen antwoord meer. Als dit de manier is om om te gaan met klanten/mensen. Dit is echt de slechtste ervaring die we al hebben meegemaakt in Schotland.
