Galloway has 200 miles of beautiful coastline, wild mountains and moorland, pretty towns and charming villages. Perfect little place for me and the dog to chill out after a hectic Christmas/New Year. Dog-owners might be interested to know that the staircase is solid and carpeted - often easier for dogs to negotiate. Was very cosy, comfortable and clean. Well equipped kitchen...More

A perfect getaway - beautiful, peaceful location and easy to find/well sign-posted, just a few minutes' bike ride on very quiet roads to the beaches of Sandgreen and Carrick, but equally handy for the amenities of Gatehouse of Fleet, just a few minutes' drive away....More

We stayed in The Bothy for a week in August. The kitchen was well equipped and we had our own private patio area with a sun porch that had stunning views over the countryside. We also had 2 little piggletts as neighbors which provided hours...More
