After an exciting drive from Oban over the Atlantic Bridge to the isle of Seil and then a short ferry crossing to Luing we took the track to the water's edge where we were to leave our car and set forth into our new craft for the week, a RHIB named Cutty which was to take us over a short crossing to the island where a John Deere 'Gator' was our mode of transportation for luggage, food shopping and the various items needed by five people and an excited Labrador for our week's adventure.
This was what was advertised.
The reality of our first hour or two was that the track was so overgrown with wild roses that our beloved and new Range Rover was permanently scratched down both sides with no way of avoiding it. Pretty upsetting and certainly took the edge off our excitement.
Trying not to let this ruin our big moment of seeing Torsa and getting across there on Cutty we put the scratches from our minds temporarily and concentrated on our next task, loading and getting into...
