I, or one of the team, will be available during your stay so there is always someone to ask about the apt details or basically help in any way. Don't be afraid to ask. We offer a very much hands on approach. I will send you details on what to expect and about key collection, housekeeping, arrival and departure details and in the past people have appreciated this, as they feel more organised knowing what exactly to expect when they arrive. I try to be as flexible as possible with our guests within the constraints of running a holiday home. We like our guests to be happy and content in B2 Waterfoot.

Amazing apartment with breathtaking views! Such a clean well equipped apartment with everything close to hand! Fran is such a lovely lady and is only a phone call away should you require assistance! I've book already for next year, this is our 4th going!!

About the neighbourhood
Newcastle lies approx. 30 miles south of Belfast. Belfast is where the main air and sea ports are located It takes approx 1 hour to travel from Belfast to Newcastle.
As you drive towards Newcastle you will leave the built up areas behind and drive through some of the most beautiful countryside that Ireland has to offer. From wide open fields to forests with ancient trees, to estates with country houses and deer to Middle age castles and Forts. This area has it all. As you approach Newcastle itself you pass through the quaint seaside village of Dundrum with its wonderful Bay views and also some fabulous restaurants to, suit any pocket. Soon you begin to notice the majestic Mourne Mountains hovering in the distance. Some days look inviting,
Getting around
covered in sunshine - other days they look brooding and menacing as the dark mists swirl. As you drive along main strret the mountains are directly in front - reminds me of Banff in Canada - but on a smaller scale. The mountain and seaside location is fabulous. There are many walks and hikes to suit all abilities and there are now plenty of outdoor pursuit centres that offer all kinds of activities from canoeing to rock climbing. There is always plenty to do. The area is beautiful for a drive or you can leave the car behind - hop on a local bus and travel around the coast to sight-see, shop or discover. There is just so much to do in what is really quite a small area. The apartment is right in the middle of town, close to everything.

Newcastle is easy to reach any day of the week. There is a daily bus service to Belfast, Downpatrick, Newry and many more. Please check out the Translink web site. Here you can easily find timetables where you can plan multiple journeys around the area or to Belfast City airport, Belfast International airport and Dublin airport. Both Larne and Belfast ports have bus routes.
Car hire is also available nearby - please ask for details.
There are plenty of public car parks in Newcastle but you also have the added security of an underground private parking space in the Waterfoot complex.
