Llanvithyn Cottage is a 200 year old barn, converted from the stone out buildings for Llanvithyn House, a former fortified medieval house and a site of significant historic importance having reputedly been the location of the 5th Century Llancarfan Monastery. This extremely comfortable and cosy cottage boasts exposed beams, stone walls, wood burning stove, flagstone/wooden floors, etc. The accommodation comprises a large open plan fully equipped kitchen and dining area, separate lounge/snug with leather settee, (sofa bed), and a wood burning stove, bathroom, bedroom one (2 single beds), and Master Bedroom (double bed), with access to Crag Loft (ie. attic bedroom with limited head space accessed via alternate tread staircase suitable for 2 children aged over 5).

Concerts and sporting events at the Principality Stadium, Cardiff International Arena, the Millenium Centre and St Davids Centre in Cardiff (20 mins), and The Liberty Stadium, Swansea, (40 mins). Numerous golf courses within easy reach eg. The Vale, Royal Porthcawl, The Celtic Manor (location for the Ryder Cup), The Rolls of Monmouth and Cottrell Park. Horse riding available within the village and along the sands at Merthyr Mawr by arrangement. Fishing both lake and sea. Chepstow, Ffos Las and Cheltenham Racecourse approx one hour drive.
