Converted with great care and attention to detail, this is a beautiful, spacious, light and comfortable stone barn, with underfloor heating throughout. Although adjacent to the owner's farmhouse, it has a separate entrance gate, drive and garden, allowing full privacy. Such a lovely place, surrounded by beautiful landscape. Fantastic place for walks. waterfalls, hills, reservoir, canal. The house has so much room, especially for children to play. The sky at night from the garden is amazing. We brought a telescope but the owners will lend...More

Abercynafon is superbly located within the Brecon Beacons, situated in a remote yet accessible setting, near the picturesque Blaen y Glyn waterfalls and designated SSI Talybont Reservoir. For bird and fishing enthusiasts, there is a 'hide' and trout fishing on the reservoir. For keen cyclists, the Taff Trail runs past the house, offering up an exciting challenge. For walkers there is an abundance of walks to suit all abilities. Brecon Mountain Steam Railway is a short drive up the valley. This is a very popular spot for hill walkers and mountain bikers being an easy access point on to the mountains.
