Overview
Cottage -
2 Bedrooms , 1 Bathroom , Sleeps 4
Caernarfon, Gwynedd, North Wales, Wales
Between Snowdonia and the sea, Tryfan Cottage provides an ideal base for walking or cycling holidays, whether exploring the local footpaths and tracks, or setting off into the hills. The amenities of Caernarfon are just a few miles away, yet the cottage is surprisingly secluded, with panoramic views over the surrounding countryside and Caernarfon Bay, not to mention the sunsets! The cottage was lovingly restored in the 1980s and has a cosy atmosphere, with exposed beams and stone walls. The decor and furnishing is both simple and comfortable. It is ideal for couples, a family of four or small group of adults, with one double and one twin bedded room upstairs, a good sized lounge, bathroom and kitchen downstairs, as well as a useful utility room. A cot, high chair and stairgate are available if required. Visit Wales ****

Myself and partner stayed here recently and loved it. The cottage was very homely and the area was very peaceful which is exactly what we wanted.

Wonderful massive stone house, very cosy, clean and well equiped. The surrounding is absolutely beautiful with some horses und free running chickens. Just 3 minutes away from the vintage train line. We (2 adults) enjoyed a week with beautiful weather, daily barbecue and stunning sundowns.

About the neighbourhood
The cottage is set in the attractive grounds of a former farmhouse, now grazed by horses, and surrounded by lush pastureland. An added attraction is the steam trains of the Welsh Highland Railway which trundle by the perimeter of the property as they pass between Caernarfon and Porthmadog, and can be requested to stop at the nearby station. The area boasts a wealth of outdoor activities, such as horse riding, climbing and water sports, and there are many historic and cultural places to visit.
