Mill Cottage

Cottage -
2 Bedrooms , 1 Bathroom , Sleeps 4
Worcester, Worcestershire, England

Our third stay here reminded us what a lovely location it is, with canalside walks literally on the doorstep. Lots of wildlife - squirrels, kingfishers, heron - and friendly dogs, too. Valerie and her daughter, Julie, made this another relaxing week for us all.

Lovely country cottage in absolutely splendid surroundings. Val and Bob could not have been more welcoming. Really enjoyed this complete get away from the hustle and bustle of life. Stayed for the weekend but left feeling like we’d had a proper holiday away from everything....More

A perfect, quiet retreat in the country, but perfectly situated for local attractions. The owners are so friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. Would definitely go back.

About the neighbourhood
On the doorstep is the Droitwich canal which is now navigable from Droitwich to the River Severn and back to Droitwich - the Droitwich loop. Canoes may be hired in Droitwich.

The main attraction in the hamlet of Claines is the Mug House which is one of only two pubs in England to be situated on consecrated ground!

A few miles down the road is Worcester with its magnificent cathedral, Royal Worcester Porcelain Museum and shop, the Commandery and the Swan Theatre as well as 2 cinemas and wide variety of shops. Worcester County Cricket Club and Worcester racecourse are in the city centre and Sixways, home to Worcester Warriors Rugby Club, is a couple of miles away.
