Haworth, Keighley, West Yorkshire, England
A traditional cottage built in 1750 on the cobbled main street of the heritage village of Haworth. It has recently been upgraded to the highest standards. Modern amenities of kitchen and bathrooms are combined with traditional stone flags, open fires and a stunning terraced back garden with breathtaking views over the surrounding moors. The cottage is part of the life of the village with an a huge choice of places to eat, drink and shop. The Haworth Parsonage , birthplace of the 3 Bronte sisters, Charlotte, Emily and Anne, sits at the top of the village. Next to this is the church where the father Patrick was the vicar, being included in list of vicars shown on the wall dating back to before the Civil War, and where Emily and Charlotte are buried under a pillar in the church. The atmospheric and historic graveyard is host to wonderful wild... Read more

We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. Cobble Cottage is a old terraced stone cottage but with a contemporary stylish open plan interior that meets modern day expectations. There is plenty of room down stairs but we ended up gravitating to the...More

About the neighbourhood
Bronte Country of West Yorkshire is surprisingly wild and remote yet is accessible to Manchester and the other major cities of the North for a short break.
The cobbled street leads up to the Parish Church and Parsonage where the Bronte family lived. The cottage which is on this Main Street is a central part of the community of the street which is mainly a street for pedestrians.
The Yorkshire climate can be dramatically climatic but also surprisingly warm and sunny. The surrounding moors and hills provide wonderful views and vistas. The Worth Valley Steam Railway, featured in the Railway Children, with shunting sheds and Victorian Station is a few hundred yards from the cottage.
The street is filled with wonderful cafes, art and craft shops, traditional Yorkshire pubs and curiosity shops....
