Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire, England
Imagine staying in this fascinating and quaint romantic 17th century cottage, as featured on ITV television and recently considered by the BBC as a location for the detective drama series 'Shakespeare and Hathaway'. What about an winter/spring break or a romantic weekend? And it is proving a great season at the RSC. The cottage has many genuine period features with beams and antiques throughout, authentic flagstone floors downstairs and evocative, ancient original polished oak floors upstairs. Unlike some nearby cottages that are modern re-builds, Rose Cottage is truly authentic and retains all its original ancient timber structure. The beamed living room has a very large inglenook with log burner, gate-leg dining table for more formal dining and Freeview TV, a small DVD library and a range of books. There is free wi-fi throughout... Read more

Really close to a number of attractions, gorgeous building with all the cosiness and character you could wish for from a building of this age.

Whilst 'babies in arms' are welcome we do not recommend the cottage for toddlers or young children aged under around 6 because the ancient stairs are narrow and steep.
