Fantastic
Great location! Clean and friendly owner. The owner Zoe was a great host advised us of the best local establishments to go to even thou she was on holiday herself she still went out of her own way to reply to any questions we had. We had emergency contact details she provided however they were never needed. The location was a stone throw away from the castle. We had clear views of the castle from dusk to dawn! Plenty to do nearby and great eateries too! The hut itself was impressively well equipped considering the size. Only one thing was that there isn't a TV but when your away do you really want to spend time just around the tv! Thank you again Zoe

Thank you for your lovely review, I am so glad you love the hut too. We have had the odd comment about putting a TV in the hut before but have decided against it. We hope that part of the charm of the place is that you are away from technology and can enjoy the view and the company you are in. It sounds like you did both. We hope to see you again in the future.

We WILL be back!!
Absolutely loved our stay in the Shepherd's Hut, it was idyllic! The views of Kenilworth Castle and its surroundings were fantastic, the Hut itself was beyond cute; a perfect size for two with everything we needed for our stay. Our host let us know she was available and then left us to enjoy our time there, perfect. In short, we loved every minute of it and we WILL be going back. Fabulous times!

AMAZING LOCATION
Lovely quaint accommodation. The hut had everything you could need. Warm welcome. The views spectacular overlooking Kenilworth Castle. Short walk into town centre. Lovely relaxing few days away. Even though it rained during the night we did not hear it on the roof.

I am glad that the rain didn't disturb your nights sleep. We made sure that the roof was insulated to try and eliminate the noise. Unfortunately I have never been in it at night in the rain so haven't tested it, so thanks for the feedback. Thank you for your lovely review and we are glad that you enjoyed your stay.

Dinky yet well appointed
A lovely little shepherds hut placed on the front garden of the farmhouse. All fixtures and fittings were of good quality and there was enough crockery etc to make a nice meal on the barbie. The view from the bedroom window was lovely only a few hundred metres from Kenilworth Castle. A full size shower and enough room for two to sit inside or four outside on the little picnic bench. The only two downsides were the lack of indoor cooking, it rained on us two of the three nights we stayed and that did limit us to eating out. There is a toaster and kettle however, so breakfast is okay. The other is we both found the mattress uncomfortable, not enough to ruin our stay by a long shot, but not a great nights sleep. Overall however, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to book again in the future.

Thank you for your review and I am glad you enjoyed your stay. I am sorry you didn't get a good night sleep and thank you for letting me know about the mattress. It is quite a new mattress, but I will get a lovely thick mattress topper to make it more comfortable for future guests. Best wishes

We went back in time, and it was a very comfortable experience it was!
The view was excellent of the castle, the accommodation was very good but quirky, but then that is what you expect from a shepherds hut! Remember that the ability to heat food is limited, as it was when the castle was built, but having said that the bar-b-q was brilliant for rein-acting the type of cooking the old timers had with this wonderful view of the castle as you cooked and ate.

Cosy and with stunning views
This is an utterly cosy hut that is perfect for a couple and I would definitely stay again. The place has been well thought out, with lovely, fresh decor, a wonderfully comfortable bed in one corner, a kitchenette in the other, and a fold out table between. It's definitely the best use of the space. The en-suite shower room is great too. I wasn't particularly keen on the eco-loo, but that's just me (and it certainly wouldn't stop me from going back). What's particularly great is that the hut is at the foot of the field adjoining Kenilworth Castle, so you can enjoy stunning views of the beautiful ruins whilst having breakfast. There's even a picnic table and BBQ for a spot of outdoor dining, but it was too chilly in October for us to give that a go!

Peaceful location
Me and my husband have just returned from a two night break in the hut , which was cosy peaceful and comfy. It had just what we needed for the amount of time spent there. We took a nice walk over the farm fields at the back of the hut and into kenilworth village. Drove out in the days to nearby towns etc, was lovely to return to the tranquility of the hut. Owners were on hand if needed but left you to your own devices which was nice. Overall recommended.
