Lovely comfortable, clean cottage in a quiet rural setting
The Old Coach House is in a lovely setting, surrounding by farms and fields. It is within walking distance of Kenilworth village following paths going through fields. It is ideally located for a visit to Warwick, Leamington Spa, Coventry, Botanic Gardens... The cottage itself is comfortable, clean, very well equipped (even items such as washing up liquid, handwash, sponge are provided). We would be happy to go back as one week was not enough to visit everything.

Peaceful relaxing haven
We stayed at the Coach House for 4 weeks whilst work was being done on our new home. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and could have happily made the Coach House our new home as it was so comfortable and well equipped.

Perfect location for visiting family
Excellent location - close to Kenilworth but in the fields behind the castle. Lovely walks from the doorstep and peaceful rural setting despite being 5 miles from Coventry. The property is well equipped, spotless and very comfortable. The patio garden is lovely and the flowerbeds well stocked. Great for wildlife spotters - as well as a family of wrens who fledged in the garden we saw a green woodpecker, deer and a badger in the woods. Great for history buffs too as the Pleasance fields are 100 years from the cottage and Kenilworth Castle is less than a mile over the fields. Thoroughly recommended and our base for visiting family in the area from now on.

Pristine, well-equipped cottage in great location
This cottage worked so well for us at Christmas, We were able to visit relatives in Kenilworth and loved the 40 minute walk on a clear path over fields and past the beautiful ruins of the castle. The cottage was warm, comfortable and it was helpful to have the offer of extra fridge/freezer space over the Xmas period. We hope to be back at some point.

Cozy well equipped comfy cottage
The two bedroom cottage is all on one level very comfortable and well equipped. a great place to stay. Located 35 minute drive from central Birmingham on the sight of "HenryV Pleasance" and 9 minute walk via footpath to Kenilworth Castle. Kenilworth has some good pubs, cafes and restaurants, a nice park, swimming pool and theatre. Plenty to do in the area, 11 National Trust properties within 20 miles of the cottage! Historic towns of Warwick, Royal Leamington Spa and Stratford on Avon well worth a visit, we'll visit again!

Perfectly proportioned.
Booked the Coach House for a visit to family from Australia. Perfect location for what we needed, quiet and safe being up a private road and on a farm. The Coach house has all the amenities we wanted - well equipped kitchen, good shower and comfortable beds. The Coach House is spacious for a small cottage, has lots of plug sockets and there are large radiators in each room and a huge heated towel rail in the bathroom (which we didnt need!) The weather was fantastic when we stayed and despite being on the Birmingham flight path, and on a working farm that was harvesting, we managed to sleep with the windows open to allow the air to flow through. The surroundings are beautiful and lots of walking in the area. Shared laundry facilities in the main farmhouse, and a washing line in the private garden area.

Comfortable and well equipped small cottage
We stayed here for a weekend break and would have been happy for it to be longer. However there are only two of us; although there are two bedrooms, it might be a touch cramped for a family, with only one bathroom and not much space around the dining table. The kitchen area is well equipped and there's plenty of storage space for clothes, which isn't always the case. Beds and sofas were comfortable and it was nice, on a warm weekend, to have the French windows opening onto a private patio area. The property is some way off the main road and mostly very quiet (although the pheasants can be surprisingly noisy!) However it's still very easy to get into Kenilworth and on from there to other parts of the Midlands. We were a bit surprised that the owners did not contact us at all while we were there to ask if everything was all right. In fact there was some sort of a problem with the internet (good signal but no connection) which was eventually fixed after we phoned and left a message, but no apology and no reason given. Other than that we enjoyed our stay, and would certainly recommend this cottage for couples or a small family.

I'm sorry that you had a problem with the internet and couldn't find anyone. There is always one of us around on site (in the main farmhouse or on the farm), but we must have missed you. Thank you for your review and I am glad you enjoyed your stay.

About the neighbourhood
Kenilworth is a delightful South Warwickshire town. From the earliest of times Kenilworth has been strategically important and Kenilworth Castle was one of the most impressive castles of Elizabethan England. There are lovely walks around the farm and ruins of the castle and Abbey in Kenilworth. Kenilworth has lots of pubs, cafes and restaurants to choose from and a range of independent shops. There are also a couple of supermarkets to stock up.
Getting around
Kenilworth has good public transport links by bus and train station. Our cottages are located a couple of miles from Kenilworth so it is easiest to get around by car.
