Highly recommended
Very comfortable and spacious accommodation with all amenities available. Lots of hot water and excellent mains pressure for baths or showers. Right out in the heart of the countryside so nothing to hear except the birds, very peaceful and relaxing. Convenient for Woodbridge, Southwold and Aldeburgh.

Do small things with Great Love
Title is misleading actually as this property is not small.. it it quite a generous size for 2 people with everything provided from egg cups to a washing machine !Set in idyllic surroundings set back from a very quiet lane and a car is essential to appreciate the many lovely attractions nearby . We stayed to attend a family wedding in nearby Bruiseyard country estate which was a 25 minute drive away and hosts Clare and Chris could not have been more accommodating. They live just next door and are available to answer any questions . Would definitely stay here again

Delightful stay
Just returned from a delightful few days at Owls Nest. So cosy and comfortable in a wonderful setting. Clare has provided a lovely home from home for guests. Lovely touch of a posh packet of biscuits and milk in the fridge.

Perfect long weekend
We have just returned from a really lovely stay at the Owls Nest Barn. Clare made sure that we had everything we needed. Even milk in the fridge and tea, coffee and shortbread biscuits provided. It was great to be able to eat breakfast and find a peaceful and sunny spot to read our books in the garden. A perfect base to explore Suffolk. Thank you.

Owls Nest was exactly what we wanted.Situated in the middle of nowhere with beautiful surroundings. Clean, warm and welcoming. We only booked for 3 nights as a last minute get away but will definitely stay longer next time.

Peaceful and tranquil barn
The Owls Nest is perfect for exploring both rural and coastal Suffolk. The location for a number of Constable paintings is only 20 miles away and the beautiful towns of Aldeburgh and Southold a similar distance. The barn is situated on a farm surrounded by delightful countryside and it really is the epitome of peace and tranquillity. Our holiday exceeded all expectations and we will visit again.

Ideally placed,lovely accommodation
Fantastic location, hidden away in the most picturesque of areas. Some of the best british villages, small and quaint with some of the most beautiful views this country has to offer. Further inland also offers great views and lots of interesting places to visit and encounter some of the rich history the area has to offer.
The accommodation offers space for parking. It is quiet and peaceful and everything you would expect from being hidden away in the countryside. The accommodation is clean and comfortable and ideally placed. Has all the utilities and amenities required and is very comfortable.
Loved it and will hopefully be back nxt yr

About the neighbourhood
Owls Nest is located in the Suffolk countryside about seven miles from the historic small towns of Woodbridge and Framlingham and about 15 miles from the Suffolk Heritage Coast.

Woodbridge is situated on the River Deben and walks along the river can be enjoyed from the town. It also has a very pleasant shopping centre with small interesting shops, pubs and restaurants, Woodbridge has a cinema, railway station and swimming pool.

Framlingham also has plenty of history and is famous for its castle a magnificent 12th century fortress with a long and colourful past which makes a fascinating day out. The castle was once the refuge of Mary Tudor before she became Queen in 1553 and visitors can now explore over 800 years of life at Framlingham Castle. Like Woodbridge, Framlingham also has small shops and coffee shops to visit.

The Suffolk Heritage Coast, an area of outstanding natural beauty is within a short drive. The many places to visit include Aldeburgh which is well known for its international music festival. It also hosts an annual regatta and carnival. There are interesting shops and places to eat including famous fish and chips which can be enjoyed on the beach. Another is Southwold a charming town with a pier and beach and home to the Adnams beer where you can take a tour of the brewery.

At Minsmere you will find the RSPB reserve. There's so much to see and hear at Minsmere: splendid woodland, wetland and coastal scenery, rare birds breeding and calling in on their migrations, shy wildlife like otters, the booming call of bitterns in spring, beautiful bugs and colourful wild flowers in summer. Minsmere was the location for the BBC Spring Watch series in 2014 and due to its success the BBC are returning in 2015 for the new series of Spring Watch to be broadcast in May.

There are plenty of country pubs in the area to visit if you enjoy eating out.
