There is a comfortable sitting area with sofa and large TV and a dining space with table and chairs and double French doors out onto the front patio. The kitchen is fully fitted with plenty of storage space, domestic appliances and a good range of kitchen equipment. There are two bedrooms, one with a double bed and en-suite shower room and the other with twin beds and also an en-suite shower room. At the rear of the property is a generous sized private enclosed garden beautifully planted with a patio and seating area and outside table and chairs. A travel cot and high chair can be provided if required and also a range of toys and books for all ages of children on request. Electric cars can be charged on a domestic plug.

10 days in peace quiet and comfort
Hasketon is a lovely place - yet close to so many places to visit and admire. The Cartlodge was clean, well equipped and comfortable. We especially liked the two bedrooms each with its own en-suite.

Amazing place to stay
Cart Lodge is a wonderful place to stay. It’s super clean, really well decorated, with a lovely garden and super helpful hosts. The location is amazing - very peaceful and close to Sutton Hoo, Ipswich etc. I would highly recommend.

About the neighbourhood
The Cartlodge enjoys a peaceful setting in a small village a few minutes walk from an award winning village pub The Turks Head'. Keen walkers will find rural footpaths from the door and the pretty town of Woodbridge on the River Deben with a wide selection of grocery stores, bistros and pubs is 5 minutes drive away. The Suffolk Heritage coast is half an hour's away and includes the seaside towns of Aldbeburgh, Southwold, Thorpeness and Walberswick as well as Felixstowe and Waldringfield within 20 minutes. Sutton Hoo is 10 minutes drive and the Medieval castles Framlingham and Orford half an hour away. On route for Orford are the forests of Rendlesham and Tunstall with bike and walking trails, children's play areas and picnic sites.
Getting around
A car is recommended, but it is possible to walk into Woodbridge in 20 minutes or take a taxi and pick up the local transport links from there. There is a bus service from the village to Ipswich and Woodbridge, but it is irregular.

The nearest station is Woodbridge, less than 10 minutes drive from the Cartlodge, which has links to London with a change at Ipswich. Journey time is 90 minutes. The nearest airport is London Stansted Airport an hour and twenty minutes by car.
