Summertown is the perfect place to base yourself during an extended stay in Oxford with high end and budget supermarkets along with fashion and interiors boutiques. One route to town, along the canal, takes you to vibrant Jericho, with its independent shops and cinema and on to the train station and central Oxford. Eating out in North Oxford is a real pleasure with The Old Parsonage, Gee's and Browns restaurants along with many other independent and international restaurants and bistros. The smell of fresh coffee and croissants coming from the many independent delis in the morning is a particular pleasure.
