This house has a lovely homely feel and is in a great location for all that York has to offer. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be booking again in the future.

The location was perfect within easy walking distance of York's wonderful buildings. York itself has so much to offer both in terms of its historic buildings, excellent restaurants and independent shops. Whistler House and Anna's excellent response to queries etc. was first rate.

About the neighbourhood
York is a walled city in northeast England that was founded by the ancient Romans. Its huge 13th-century Gothic cathedral, York Minster, has medieval stained glass and 2 functioning bell towers. The City Walls form a walkway on both sides of the River Ouse. The Shambles in York is a meandering, narrow medieval street, one of the most remarkably intact medieval streets in England and is a must for those looking for a unique shopping experience. The National Railway museum has the world's largest collection of train exhibits dating back over 300 years and is a fantastic family day out. The immediate area is surrounded by coffee shops, bars and restaurants, perfect for a city break!
