Beamed living room and eaves bedroom combine with contemporary kitchen & shower-room to make a elegant, cosy and romantic home-from-home. Fast trains to the centre from Winchmore Hill station ( 2 minutes' walk) give quick access to the central sights of London. The Stables consists of a living room/ dining room, kitchen, shower-room (downstairs) and a bedroom in the eaves (i.e with restricted height, sloping ceiling). This property is very popular with honeymoon couples.In the Summer our guests love to spend a relaxing time admiring the colourful garden, perhaps over a glass of wine. Our tortoise provides amusement on warm afternoons. This is a family run business. We offer all the privacy you need, but with the re-assurance that we are on site if you need advice. Great stay at The Stables at The Old Bakery. Everything was as expected, cozy and comfortable for two, and perfectly suited to our needs for a base visiting London. Wonderful deli across the street and short walk to the station. Would recommend!

Quiet place considering it has easy access to the centre of London. All the amenities of home. Well presented and the host even provided a loaf of bread butter and milk. No need to go to the shops till the following day

About the neighbourhood
Winchmore Hill Green is the heart of a Conservation Area, i.e. an area of historic architectual interest. The Green was originally the centre of a small village with mediaeval roots. Remarkably, it has retained its friendly atmosphere and community cohesion, despite being absorbed into London in the 1860s when the railways arrived and tranformed the way of life. It is often said that London is a series of villages. If so, Winchmore Hill is one of the finest. We are fortunate that many buildings survive from these earlier times, including The Old Bakery (a Listed Historic Building dating back to circa 1600), of which your apartment is a part.
