The Beehive is right in the heart of Lincoln and a great base from which to explore the city and its surroundings. You see the castle wall when you leave the yard and after a few more steps more will spot the Cathedral!Do you like to explore our heritage? The impressive cathedral, the castle, the Collection, the medieval and wren libraries, Ellis mill, Bishops Palace and Lincolnshire live are only a selection of what there is to see. Maybe you join one of the very informative guided walking tours which start from the Visitors Centre.Lincoln is full of galleries and museums, mainly located in the culture and cathedral quarters of the city. Visit the Usher gallery, one of the regions great art galleries or Harding House Gallery, often featuring young local artists.
Getting around
The location could not be better for your trip to Lincoln: Within a minute you reach the castle walls, and after 5 minutes walk you find yourself at the cathedral and on Steep Hill. In the evenings you can enjoy a wealth of international bars and restaurants in the popular Bailgate area, only steps away from the Beehive. With the well-equipped kitchen, you might equally put your feet up for a night in.
You will not need your car in Lincoln and the house benefits from an allocated parking space (which is a bonus in Lincoln). A shuttle bus going to all major attractions up- and downhill stops just some steps from the house.
