You can sit outside on the small patio at the rear of this terraced cottage and listen to the water flowing by. Situated just a few minutes’ walk from the vibrant town centre of Cockermouth, the location of the property provides easy access to the Lake District fells and the west Cumbrian coast. This contemporary holiday cottage has been renovated to a good standard with tasteful decoration. If you’re a couple or a family looking for a quality property in a central location, then this property is ideal. The ground floor has wooden floors throughout and a living/dining room with French doors leading to the patio with a stunning view of the river. The modern kitchen is also well equipped. Upstairs, you will find two good sized bedrooms, both providing plenty of storage and high levels of comfort. Cockermouth is well renowned for its vibrant town centre with its abundance of fantastic pubs serving locally produced cask ales and fine food, Italian bistros, independent coffee shops and fast food. There’s so much choice you may decide not to cook at all and save on washing up! Located just ¼ mile away, the centre offers an array amenities meaning you can leave the car behind and explore on foot. There are great walks along the river which prove very popular with both tourists and locals. You can visit Wordsworth House, ¼ mile away, the birthplace of William Wordsworth, then feed the ducks in the memorial gardens. Kirkgate Arts is also ¼ mile away if you fancy taking in some performing arts on your holiday. Bassenthwaite is also home to the Lake District Wildlife Park offering a fun day out, and The Lakes Distillery, with good food and tasting tours, are both 6 miles away.
