Our city central , centrally heated, cabin is tucked away within the City of Exeter. Exposed floor boards and skylight letting in the morning sun . Immersed in the woodlands, yet only 10 minutes walk to the City. PLEASE NOTE The university have started building work in the nearby field between 8 and 5 weekdays, so at times this means the peace is broken. But past 5:30 pm, the birds take over and peace is restored once more. As you walk down the path towards 'The City Cabin' the tall trees guide your walk to the decking area and entrance to your private retreat. Once you enter the cabin, you instantly notice the warmth and cosy feel. The open plan living and kitchen area is under the glass ceiling panels to help provide sky-light and stunning evening starlight. The cabin is centrally heated but has the added charm of a log burner. The kitchen has the modern cooking microwave/oven and gas cooking hobs so you can still benefit from the 21st Century enhancements. There are two double bedrooms and a wet room. Also the City Cabin has been upgraded to now include a TV with Netflix and Youtube included. The music system is now Bluetooth compatible also allowing you to stream your music.More

About the neighbourhood
Only an eleven minute walk from the large city store John Lewis, but uniquely positioned in a quiet spot in the Hoopern Valley. A very rural feel and yet the closest accommodation to the University (without being in Halls). NB during the summer months there is a small open air swimming pool in the grounds, just 5 mins walk from Nora (so don't forget to bring swimwear if you wish). You will probably hear the ducks and at night the owls are particularly vocal. There are lots of walks in and around the university grounds, including the Two Counties Way and the Green Circle walk (part of a 12 mile walk around the green spaces of Exeter). You can even see the Exe Estuary to the sea at Exmouth from the elevated footpaths just beyond. There is a fabulous farm shop, Barton Place, 4 minutes by car...
How to get there
Guests will have their own private entrance and we allow guest to have exclusive access to 'The City Cabin' retreat.
