Bowgie 4* barn by a sunny courtyard - in a sheltered valley near the N Coast

Barn -
1 Bedroom , 1 Bathroom , Sleeps 2
Newquay, Cornwall, England
Suitable for a couple the Bowgie is a studio style barn conversion with roof timbers exposed. A log burning stove is there to warm the south facing living area, which has a door opening onto the communal courtyard shared with the Granary. The bedroom benefits from an en-suite bathroom with a Mira electric shower over the bath. There is a fully fitted galley kitchen with a pleasant westerly aspect.

We have 1 acre of grounds with a stream running through.

The cottage is a great dog friendly home from home for your Cornish holiday or short break.

My fiancé and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Bowgie Barn, near Newquay. The Bowgie itself was beautiful, charming and well laid out, perfect for a couple. It still had its character, as well as today's essentials. The postcode took you right to the...More

About the neighbourhood
Trewerry Mill (which is next door) dates to around 1639 and was partially rebuilt in 1820. The mill was one of several that served Trerice Manor.

Head for Crantock, Holywell or Perranporth beaches for wonderful sandy open bays, or if you prefer to get away from it all, try Polly Joke. Fistral Beach in Newquay is the place to go for surfing action, or just to watch the hot shot surfers. Nothing’s better than a relaxing sundowner at the Windswept café, at the south end of Fistral beach on a sunny day, watching the surf go by. And of course there is Watergate Bay, where you can find Jamie Oliver’s ‘fifteen’ restaurant. If you have time, the seals in Newquay harbour are always on the lookout for an audience (or for a spare fish!).
