The sea views from the conservatory and outside areas are spectacular taking in Looe Bay from Hannafore and the island right around to the East and all along the coastline to Rame Head. The family bathroom on the ground floor has bath and separate large shower cubicle. Upstairs are the bedrooms, two doubles overlooking the beach, a single again overlooking the beach and two further twin rooms. There is also a separate toilet.
Plaidy beach is dog friendly all year round and is a mixture of sand and shingle. When the tide is out there are numerous rock pools to explore and a large flat sandy area perfect for those who wish to paddle and swim. The walk in to Looe is approximately 20 minutes along the coastal path or at low tide guests can enjoy the walk in along the beach. Alternatively Millendreath is the next cove to the East (a 10 minute walk) where the Black Rock Cafe and Beach Bar are situated. It is also possible to hire paddle boards, kayaks, body boards wet suits etc during the Summer months at Millendreath.
There is parking for one car outside the property and additional spaces available within a one minute walk on request. The property has free Wifi.

Super stay with amazing views
My hubby & I recently stayed at Seaside House for a week with our daughter, her boyfriend & our cockerpoo.
Wow! This house us all about the view & location!
Situated on a dog friendly beach with stunning views. The beach was never very busy, being popular with locals living nearby to walk their dog.
Our daughter & her bf swam in the sea daily, morning & evening & sometimes our dog joined them.
A spacious house with comfortable bedrooms with 3 of them allowing you to hear the waves at night. A fab bathroom with a huge walk in shower - great water pressure & a nicely decorated additional wc in an upper level.
The kitchen has also been modernised, offering all facilities required.
We loved the tiered levels outside overlooking the beach & sea. I often just sat there looking out to sea, blissful.
We loved the fire pit, toasting marshmallows & making stores & we had a BBQ too! All done whilst looking out to sea.
There is a coastal walk into Looe taking around 20 mins, offering more beautiful views.
We loved our time here so much we are booking again for next year
A truly relaxing break.

Perfection
What an absolutely gorgeous house every room was done to an excellent quality. There was 3 generations from 76 to 22 and everyone loved the house. The biggest selling point is the scenery. The beach on your doorstep all of us sat round the fire pit with a drink watching shooting stars and the super blood moon. We will want to visit again now we have found our small piece of heaven

Just Perfect !
Having once been an owner of a holiday home myself in Looe I decided to return 9 years on and bring my parents in their 80’s along too. The house doesn’t really lend itself to anyone who may have difficulties using stairs or steps & although I could see them in the photographs I knew my parents would be able to manage the stairs in the house and they had no need to go down the steps to the beach as there is a slope just a few hundred yards from the house and the view from the house is so amazing that they didn’t need to leave the veranda anyway & they didn’t . The property was immaculate & we felt at home immediately with the comfy sofas, well equipped kitchen and of course that magnificent view. There were a couple of very small issues that the lovely friendly & very helpful ladies at The Cornish Collection dealt with immediately. We can’t wait to book again for next year to make another beautiful memory at this amazing house.

Seaside House
As a regular visitor to Looe and the surrounding area, I have wanted to stay in one of these properties on Plaidy beach for a while but they are almost never available so I was really looking forward to staying here.
The property cannot be beaten for location, it’s a 20 min walk in to Looe town along the coast path in one direction, and to Millendreath in the other direction. Being located on (dog friendly) Plaidy beach which is a relatively unknown beach means we often felt like we had the entire place to ourselves.
The house itself is very well equipped, particularly the kitchen which we used a lot due restrictions on open places to eat, it has everything needed and more, although it could definitely have done with a deeper clean, the front of the fridge freezer for example had bits of food and grease marks. The shower and bathroom were really great and the upstairs bedrooms felt clean and fresh and comfortable.
The living area needs updating, whilst understanding this is a dog friendly property, sitting on sofas that were cigarette burned, for the price point, felt a little disappointing, particularly when you’re likely to spend a lot of time there admiring the great view.
The property is not completely enclosed for pets, my (nosy) dog did find his way around the side of the house and up on to the road and also made it into next doors garden, a small side gate and a bit of shrubbery would easily fix this and ensure you don’t have to keep a constant eye on where they are when you are in the garden.
Despite the small niggles mentioned, we had a wonderful time here so much so we have booked to return next year with a larger group.

Thank you for your honest reivew. We are sorry to hear there were some issues with the cleanliness in the kitchen which will be addressed with the property manager. We have had a conversation with the owner who has agreed to replace the sofas in the conservatory area. We are delighted that overall you enjoyed your time and that you have booked to come again. We hope that you will be pleased with the updates on your return.
