Only a panoramic photo could do justice to the immense wrap-around views. Situated high above New Zealand's most beautiful harbour, Whangaroa, the property comprises 37 acres (15ha) of regenerating bush. Owner Terry has spent all his life in the service industry, working and travelling all over the world. Now, he loves to share his home and the harbour with people who appreciate quality, beauty, serenity, and understated luxury. Either prepare your own meals in the kitchen or dine out in one of the two local cafes by the harbourside. Alternatively, drive the short distance to the Indian restaurant in Kaeo (10km) or to the Thai or world-famous Fish and Chip restaurant in Mangonui (40 minutes' drive). There is plenty to do such as fishing, walking and swimming, or visiting local galleries and gift shops. 'What an amazing jewel to find in New Zealand. Your home is peaceful, relaxing & very inviting'- Joanne and Graham 'It was not so much a well-deserved holiday but rather a peak into the wishing well of how life should be'- Rozita dei Leoni 'Stunning views ranging from morning mists lifting, to sunrises to sunsets, to full moon rising, to....Fantastic!'- Deb and KeithMore

About the neighbourhood
Whangaroa is home to some of New Zealand's best sights - the Puketi Forest with its towering kauri trees and native birds; the Cavalli Islands and the Rainbow Warrior's final resting place; the family-friendly Tauranga Bay and the surfers' paradise at Taupo Bay; Butterfly Bay where monarch butterflies overwinter; and the 'million dollar views' on the Wainui Road coastal drive. Kaeo (the nearest village) has a Four Square supermarket, petrol stations, a hairdresser, boutique, coffee shops, an Indian restaurant and a takeaway. Geographically, the harbour and village of Whangaroa are just a short drive from the golf courses at Kauri Cliffs, Carrington, Kerikeri, Waitangi and Whangaroa itself. Matauri Bay is the launching pad for boat trips around the Cavalli islands or to dive the ...
