It’s rare to find a property large enough for a family celebration just 50 metres from the seafront… well we’ve found it! Seaside House is a beautiful Victorian property just a stone’s throw from the ocean at Newbiggin by the Sea. A fusion of period features and contemporary living with high ceilings, wooden floors and fabulous soft leather sofas. The spacious sitting room is a lovely well proportioned room with log effect fire, TV with Freeview, DVD, video, CD radio. The kitchen has plenty of units and work space for cooking up family dinners, there’s a large dining table and chairs with room for all guests to be seated at mealtimes. French doors open out to small patio area. Newbiggin by the Sea has the first permanent offshore sculpture in the UK called 'Couple' - a man and a woman standing together looking out to sea. If you can tear yourself away from the stunning coastline, head inland - just a 5 minute drive and you’ll reach Woodhorn Country Park and Northumberland Museum. The market town of Morpeth has some good shops, pubs, restaurants and a leisure centre, Bagpipe Museum and Chantry Craft Centre. Hexham, Hadrian's Wall and the Roman Fort of Housesteads lie to the west and are well worth a visit. Further north lies the ancient town of Alnwick famous for its castle and gardens and Holy Island, accessible by causeway at low tide.
