At El Chapil you will experience Mexico as we live it, and as we love it- in the farm fields, with the sound of the waves as your soundtrack. This is our home, and we invite you to make it yours. El Chapil is not a homogenous resort experience with a wall designed to keep Mexico out. Modern Mexico is a dynamic and exciting place and we embrace and embody the contrasts of old and new- respecting the heritage of the place while creating a space that is uniquely ours.
We offer many services such as private dinners, cocktails, massage, facials, yoga, and dance classes. Our schedule of events is always changing so please reach out if you have any questions about what we have scheduled for the dates of your stay.

We Already Planned a Return Trip
O-A-S-I-S! My sister and I barely returned home from El Chapil, and we've already committed to our next trip.
We were looking for a relaxing getaway... what we found was a warm welcome in Peter and Daphne's community, family, home, and life.
El Chapil is beautiful - El Pescadero is beautiful - Baja is PERFECT!
But -- there's more!
El Chapil is a place where your heart feels calm, everything you need is right there, and you are instantly adopted into a magnificent - dare I say magical - life. Even the dog and cat on the property adopted us in our weeklong stay!
Daphne's prowess as a chef nourishes body and soul with locally sourced ingredients (many from the back yard). Her experience as an international private chef brings five star dining to simple, beautiful Baja. And her personality brings endless entertainment!
Daily yoga in the palapa on the property, with a light breeze and morning's birdsong, was purely divine.
You won't meet a neighbor in this peaceful and friendly community who doesn't rave about how lucky you are to stay with Peter and Daphne. This is a Mexico I can't wait to experience more of!

Súper lugar
Fue un gran descanso, tranquilo y con paisajes increíbles muy cercanos.
La gente de Pescadero es lo más y la atención de el Chapil no pudo ser mejor.
La familia Grigsby es super atenta y cocinan de lo mejor del mundo.
El lugar está muy bonito y cómodo y el jardín es perfecto para pasear.

Balance perfecto
Las vacaciones más lindas que he pasado en mucho tiempo! El Chapil es el lugar ideal para un tener tiempo balanceado entre descanso y aventuras. Las habitaciones están muy limpias y cómodas, rodeadas de naturaleza y tranquilidad. Las áreas comunes funcionan perfecto y el jardín/huerto te inspira a explorar.
Los anfitriones Daphne y Peter son muy amables y accesibles.
Pescadero es un pueblo que literalmente es un oasis, su ubicación es ideal para manejar a todos los lugares de interés en la zona. Además Pescadero tiene un playa hermosa a 10min caminando de la casa.
Totalmente recomiendo el plan de El Chapil!!

Hermosa estadía
Este lugar es increíble, rodeado por naturaleza, ideal para descansar y conocer paisajes muy diversos!
Daphne y Peter son muy buenos anfitriones, te hacen sentir en casa! La comida es deliciosa y fresca con productos del jardín!
Las habitaciones son muy cómodas, bonitas y limpias.
Los atardeceres increíbles desde la terraza y por las noches ver todas las estrellas ufff
Me encantó!!!

Lovely, tasteful, & calm bed & breakfast at the heart of El Pescadero
El Chapil is an oasis in the middle of the charming fields of agricultural El Pescadero. Minutes from the beach and the highway, it's tucked away on a side road with views of palms and mangos, farmland and the ocean. Beautiful bedrooms with in-suite bathrooms, private balconies, and rooftop access. A wonderful host, great food, and yoga on-property in their beautiful large platform palapa. Couldn't ask for more. Fabulous location to relax, and also explore nearby Todos Santos, and day trip to La Paz or Cabo Pulmo.

Hidden gem! Beautiful place, authentic style, wonderful people
I never wanted to leave. The hotel is beautiful and influenced by Daphne's mainland Mexico heritage and style. Rooms are clean and lovely and beds are super comfortable. The gardens and outdoor space are exquisite, with a wood fired hot tub and lots of little nooks to hang out.
There is yoga and dance classes at the back of the property and the beach is just a short stroll away.
Pescadero is a magical place and El Chapil and Daphne and Peter (the owners) embody that. The hotel is on the west side of the town of Pescadero which is located just outside bustling Todos Santos. The roads are dirt, but my small rental card handled them just fine. This neighborhood is off the beaten path with uncrowded beaches and delicious restaurants near by. Daphne is also an amazing cook and eating in at El Chapil was delicious.
I highly recommend this place!

Garden Paradise Found
Quiet, peaceful, garden paradise- close enough to beach but set back for more quiet and less wind. Pick greens and fruit from the garden for dinner and cocktails, yoga in the palapa every morning, enjoy the spa under the stars and moon. It is a perfect spot for big family or couple get-away. This is my second time staying here and I will for sure be back again soon!!

Auténtico lugar estilo Baja
Vivo en el área de Los Cabos y vamos muy seguido al Pacífico los fines de semana durante el invierno a surfear y disfrutar de los amigos y alrededores. El Chapil es una excelente opción para quedarse en el área del Pacífico, es un lugar bastante tranquilo (descansas muy bien) hogareño sudcaliforniano y muy bonito. Los anfitriones son muy atentos con los detalles en la cocina, nos dejaron café, fruta del huerto, membrillo hecho en casa y pan de la zona. 100% lo recomiendo!

Excelente opción en Pescadero
Totalmente recomendado. Estuvimos aquí por una noche y de verdad no me quería ir. Los cuartos súper limpios y la atención de Daphne excepcional. Desde la habitación se puede escuchar el mar. Las camas súper cómodas, en verdad me sentí como si estuviera en casa.

OMG - what a gem of a boutique hotel!
I can't say enough good things about El Chapil! The polished concrete floors, artisanal rugs and decor, the mattress in my room that must be the same you'd find at a 5 star hotel. Everything was super cozy. My room was airy and bright and had a cute balcony overlooking the garden. Speaking of the garden, it's an organic paradise of guava and mango orchards - super fun to wander around. There's a cool rooftop with a view of the palms, the beach is a brisk walk from El Chapil and in a few minutes you're in artsy Todos Santos. But why leave? The hosts - Daphne and Pedro - are incredibly sweet and attentive. And if you're lucky, you might catch Daphne preparing some of the tastiest macrobiotic local food in town. This is Baja as you want it to be - friendly, approachable and relaxed. Highly recommend for any time of the year!

About the neighbourhood
Just minutes from the quaint local stores, restaurants and taco stands of El Pescadero. Another seven minute drive north brings you to Todos Santos, a Pueblo Magico, with its many art galleries, craft shops, restaurants, historical buildings, tours and more. We are 50 minutes from Cabo and 1 hour and 15 minutes from La Paz.
Getting around
We highly recommend a rental car. Todos Santos is 6 miles north and full of galleries and delicious restaurants – definitely worth a visit. There are gorgeous beaches all around, and lots of other things to do and see.
