As well as your own terrace and garden area there is a large shared garden area offering swings, slides, trampoline, toddler see-saw and slide, table tennis table, badminton, boules/petanque, football goal and balls and other garden games. The 12m x 6m swimming pool is fully fenced and offers sun loungers on a decking area, table and chairs and an all important hammock under our shady abri.

We just ask that you respect the property, gardens and the pool so the properties can be enjoyed by everybody.
We had a fantastic stay here with our three young boys (under 5) and their grandparents. The house (the Grange) was well equipped and the garden and pool were well kept and perfect for young children with the swings/slide/trampoline/table tennis and safety gate at the pool. We appreciated Jacqui and Malcolm's personal touch of the wine/beer/milk on arrival, and with our hosts living on site, any issues were quickly dealt with.

Everything you need when staying with young children
We stayed here for a week in August with our three children (4, 6 and 9 years old). We have stayed in gites before and this one was really well equipped and very clean.
The owners are very courteous and are there if you need them, but will leave you in peace and privacy when you don't.
There is a very good pool and lots of toys and things to occupy the kids in the garden and it is extremely quiet.
No problems with hot water, there is Freeview with lots of British TV channels to watch if you need them and WiFi. There is a large BBQ outside which we used.
Unlike some places they don't start charging extra for towels and bedding which makes you think a lot more of them for doing so.
There is a good washer if you have to do a wash whilst you are there.
This is a great, large cottage to stay for a family and there are lots of nice lakes and rivers to have picnic's with the kids and swim in locally and a very nice village, Auberterre (sorry for spelling) only 15 mins away with a gorgeous market, restaurants and views.
Would have no hesitation recommending this place to people with families.

Driving is very easy and even in high season isn't anything like driving in England. The ferry ports of Calais is about 8 hours away and Caen and St. Malo about 6/7 hours.
The closest airports are 1/2 hours away with Bergerac being the closest followed by Limoges, Bordeaux, La Rochelle and Brive.
If you would like to arrive by train or plane for a short walking or cycling break out of season- we are happy to offer a pickup service from the airports or train station - please ask for tariffs. We do recommend a car so you can explore this lovely region.
