This 150 year old Georgian house is older than the Confederation of Canada, but it's been fully restored to make you a home in Ottawa-Gatineau. Warm antiques, modern kitchen, charming bedrooms - plenty of room for your family and friends to chat around the dining room table.
Only a few blocks from the Royal Canadian Mint, the National Gallery of Canada and the Ottawa river. We're a short walk to Parliament and the National Art Center, and minutes from the Bytown Market, 24 Sussex drive and the Rideau Falls. Lowertown is spicy, historic and trendy and you'll be in the center of it all.

About the neighbourhood
This home is located in the Byward Market area, true urban downtown location close to pubs, restaurants, museums and amenities (LCBO, grocery stores, boutiques, Bridgehead coffee shop, etc). The area is vibrant, though our spot is located in the quiet section of the market, within walking distance to the nightlife but not affected by bar traffic. This is a residential area, safe for walking at all hours, friendly neighbours and dog walkers abound in the park across the street. As a reference, we are a 12-15 minute walk to Byward Market area, 10 minutes to National Gallery of Canada and Canadian Mint, 20-24 minutes to Parliament Hill. Museum of History in Gatineau is a lovely 30 minute walk across the Ottawa river. Westin Center and the NAC
Getting around
Buses run throughout the Market area as the Rideau Centre is their hub, connecting to all areas of Ottawa. Buses run to/from airport to Rideau Centre regularly. We are a 15 minute walk from Rideau Centre. Presently we have an available parking space behind the house. Cabs/Uber are readily available. Bike trails are within few blocks, connections to Ottawa and Rideau river paths, Rideau canal pathways, Gatineau trails. Frequently the Byward Market horse and carriage will pass the house making its rounds from the Byward Market in the summer and holiday months.
