Lochtower Stables Cottage has been newly renovated to provide a fantastic holiday spot where you can sit on the patio looking over a loch, which is a Site of Special Scientific Interest. Here you can watch swans, many different water birds and sometimes otters, or you can fish from our boat, or have a BBQ at our fantastic new lochside area. In bad weather we have a table tennis table indoors or just snuggle up in front of the logburner and watch films! The farm has cows, sheep, hens, horses and arable fields with spectacular views.
The cottage is spacious and well equipped for a family and with central heating and a wood burner you will never be cold. It offers 3 comfy bedrooms, 2 ensuite and a large open plan sitting room/kitchen/diner
Lochtower farm surrounds the picturesque conservation village of Yetholm set in the foothills of the C...

Glad you enjoyed your stay. There is usually a family of Barn owls nesting on the farm so I'm happy that you saw it!

Yetholm is a sleepy but picturesque village nestling at the edge of the Cheviot Hills. It is famous for it's historic connection to the Romany Gypsies and is a stoping point for walkers along the Pennine and St Cuthberts way.

How to get there
(Our post code is TD5 8PD. If you are using a sat nav it will take you to our neighbours farm in the last mile or so.)
FROM Edinburgh……Take the A68 from the bypass. At Carefraemill roundabout after Soutra Hill turn onto the A697 then turn right onto the A6089 which will take you through Gordon and Nenthorn and then you will come to Kelso. In Kelso at the first roundabout take the 1st exit. You will come to another roundabout – take the 2nd exit. You will come to a third roundabout – take the first exit (straight over). You will come to a fourth roundabout – take the second exit. You will go over the Tweed River. The next turning to your left (at Sainsburys roundabout) will be the road to Yetholm ( B6352) Go about 6 miles up this road. Lochtower is on this road on a bad left hand bend.
