Beautiful family home with pool, games room and amazing views of Curemonte

Overview
Manor House -
6 Bedrooms , 4 Bathrooms , Sleeps 14
Meyssac, Correze, Nouvelle-Aquitaine
Dating back to 1640, the Manor House at Fleuret has been lovingly restored, retaining many original features, and offers an extremely spacious home for 12 people. Originally a small hamlet, home to 12 families, the magnificent red sandstone buildings are set in acres of meadow and woodlands. With spectacular views all around us, the most memorable is that of the medieval village of Curemonte directly opposite Fleuret on the other side of the valley. Larger groups can also rent the cottage at Fleuret, giving a total occupancy of 18 people.

Interaction with guests
We have lived at Fleuret for 25 years and are on hand to help with any questions you may have, both before and during your stay. We love this area of France and for those who would like are happy to offer advice on places to visit, walks, cycle rides etc, and the house has plenty of information about the local area. Tim's passion is photography, and GIlly's gardening, and we hope you will enjoy visiting our beautiful property.

About the neighbourhood
More active pursuits include horse riding which can be arranged locally, canoeing down the Dordogne River, tennis, cycling (we have several bikes for hire and also organise half and full day cycling itineraries), beautiful walks, three nearby golf courses, and hot-air ballooning trips. For children there is also an 'acrobranche' park if they enjoy climbing and adventure, water parks, the 'foret de singes' and 'parc animalier', and not forgetting the steam train running along the banks of the Dordogne in the summer months.
For many, however, the main attraction of the region are the rolling hills, peace and quiet of our immediate surroundings, as well as the local gastronomic specialities such as foie gras, truffles, walnuts, cassoulet, confit de canard and cabecou...
