We have changed our cancellation policy to 'relaxed' - if you have a booking and the government changes it's advice meaning that travel into Wales is not legally allowed, you will of course receive a refund or be able to change your dates without being charged for making the amendment, subject to availability. In this case there may be an additional fee that is date dependent, for instance if you change from low season (January) to high season (July/August) there will be additional cost. Please note, if travel here is allowed the cancellation policy will apply, so we would recommend that you take out travel insurance to cover your holiday, just in case you need to make a last minute change. As regards cleaning: please be assured that we have spent the lockdown period discussing how we are going to keep the cottage safe, and we have completed a risk assessment, a copy of this is available for anyone on request. There will be a thorough cleaning with bleach and disinfectant right through before arrival. All the bedding will be washed on a high heat setting with a spot of bleach added to the water to be sure. In addition we will be purchasing extra sets of all the soft furnishings and these will be rotated at every changeover, allowing us to have 72+ hours in between times. Even the outside gate, doors, windows fencing and wall will be sprayed during each changeover clean. When you arrive, the key will be in the door waiting for you. We will not approach closer than 2m. I would welcome you to let yourself in, make yourself comfortable, and explore what's in the cupboards and drawers to familiarise yourself. We are literally just over the fence and on the end of text and messaging if you need anything. In the event that we have to come in at your request we will wear masks and ask that you do so, there will be some disposable ones available in the drawer of the coffee table alongside the fire. Details of local hospitals and GP surgery/Pharmacy are in the brown welcome book that you will see on the coffee table on arrival. Our doorbell is on the gatepost, you don't have to come through our gate or to our door - it's a few metres between the gate and the door so ideal for distancing. Be assured that the gates, posts, mail box and bell are all disinfected daily, more than once! ''Bron Dalar'' Cottage is situated in the garden of our house, tucked in behind the houses on the Promenade in ''Llanfairfechan'', so only a minute or so away from the beach but with some shelter provided from the houses along the Prom. The view from the windows is of our garden with the mountains (Snowdon range) behind. We offer self catering accommodation with a lovely light and airy well equipped kitchen, a small bathroom with electric shower, a bedroom with double bed & premium mattress/pillows, living room with a feature rounded stone wall, flat screen TV with freeview channels, Netflix and DVD player. Central heating with radiator in each room plus a gas fire in the lounge for extra warmth when needed. We are just off the dual carriageway, main coast road through North Wales and so very well positioned for you to explore this beautiful area. Within 15 minutes drive we have Conwy, Llandudno, Bangor, Colwyn Bay. In 20 minutes you can be on the island of Anglesey. All utilities included in the cottage rental price, no extras. Short breaks available and often late offers. Please note that this is a cottage for two people and it's the perfect size. But there is very little extra room so we cannot add an extra bed or travel cot as this could block access through the rooms. So we have to say a maximum of two persons. Your well behaved dog is very welcome. We ask that your dog is not left alone in the cottage, for any reason, and will need to be taken outside our property for toileting purposes. If you do want to bring your best friend with you, we would appreciate it if you would also bring doggy towels and some throws to protect our furniture. We don't restrict the dog getting on the furniture, we know that would be difficult depending on what he's used to at home, so we just ask that you respect our property, please just ask us if you need anything, we have plenty of spare throws, towels etc available. The cottage does not have access to our garden, it is fenced off as our own dogs use it. However the small concrete area directly outside the cottage door is completely secure, so your dog can not get out when you open the cottage door. More

If you are bringing a dog, we ask that you bring some towels and a couple of throws to protect the furniture and keep it clean for future guests. If you don't have them, or forget, please tell us and we will find something for you. Please don't use the area just outside the cottage door for your dog to toilet, You will need to put him onto a lead and take him out to the grassy area by the beach wall, where waste bins are provided. Don't forget your scooping bags!

We are almost always home and available if you need to ask us any questions. We will be here to welcome you and show you into the cottage. However, we won't be 'in your face' during your stay, you will see us in the garden on nice days and we would love you to say hello, but we won't hassle you unless it's necessary - please just let us know if you need anything or if we can help in any way. To contact us, simply ring the door bell, or even send a text and we will respond straight away. We are usually very close by and so will be available if you need anything; we also have a handyman who is very good, so please if you have a problem, don't spend time worrying about it, tell us straight away. If it's fixable it will be done.

My wife had a trip and fall that meant that she had a two night stay in hospital. Sue and her sister took over the care of our dog while I was attending the hospital for extended periods. lovely people and great accomadation

I booked this as the cottage was perfect as was the location for my partner. It was her birthday and our first trip away and I wanted to make it special. I asked the owners Sue & Michelle if they could set up some birthday surprises for me and they didn’t disappoint , they did everything and more I could have asked of them. The cottage is beautiful, small and cosy for a couple, the little touches like the basket with teas, coffees etc was lovely, the cottage itself is obviously lovingly maintained . For a couple it is perfect and romantic . Thank you so much Sue and Michelle for everything, I will definitely be booking again x

This was our second visit to this lovely property .We met Sue and her 3 gorgeous Tibetan terriers on arrival who welcomed us and our two dogs warmly and told us if we needed anything she would only be a phone call away . The cottage is small but very cosy and provides everything to make your stay comfortable ,the owners have pretty much thought of everything including making it covid safe which is reassuring . The sea front is only a 2 minute walk away , and the cottage is situated close to other beautiful places including Anglesey ,Llandudno ,Conwy to name just a few . There are plenty of beautiful walks nearby ideal for dog walking our dogs loved the beach , On our departure we spoke to Michelle who is a lovely person too. Sue ,Michelle and their family are very lucky to live in such a beautiful area and to own such a lovely cottage . We look forward to our 3rd visit in the future ! .

What an absolute hidden gem! I was over the moon to find this property and on arrival we were met by Michelle, one of the owners. We were shown around and she was so kind and absolutely nothing was too much trouble. We enjoyed our weekend away, the cottage is a two minute walk from the sea front and we enjoyed beach walks every evening. The local pub is cosy and friendly. It’s a 25 minute bus ride into Llandudno, we enjoyed the journey on the bus, what a beautiful corner of the world. Thank you Sue and Michelle for a wonderful stay, can’t wait to come back again.

About the neighbourhood
Llanfairfechan lies on the coast of north Wales on the route of the A55 road, between Penmaenmawr and Bangor. IIt is known as a seaside resort and had a population at the 2001 Census of 3,755.[1] It has a railway station on the North Wales Coast Line. Morfa Madryn, the salt marsh area immediately west of the town on the shore of Traeth Lafan, is a local authority-managed nature reserve of outstanding beauty and a favourite haunt of bird watchers. The site is home to cormorants & shags. The rare Little Egret can also be spotted. Translated from Welsh into English, Llanfairfechan means 'The Little (or Lesser) Church of St. Mary'. A town split into two sections 'upper village' where the bank, shops and golf course are situated, and the 'lower village' which includes the beach, Promenade a...
Getting around
There is a railway station in Llanfairfechan, although it's a request stop and not all of the trains stop here. Nearest large station is either Bangor, or Llandudno Junction, where taxis are available outside. It would be around a 12 minute journey from either of those stations, by car. Buses run regularly through the village and can take you to Conwy, Bangor, Colwyn Bay, Llandudno. Be aware that they do go by the scenic route and stop in many villages. It's very pretty but can take quite a long time to get to your destination.
