This Mexican casita is nestled in the middle of the Mayan jungle. We are close to the town, and there are plenty of great places to eat close by in Tulum town. The spot has great views from the rooftop and is great for watching sunsets. We are in a quiet neighbourhood and is a great place to relax and enjoy Tulum. You’ll love my place because of the private pool, the light, the comfy bed, the beach amenities and the open space.
The house is ample and full of light with Mexican decorations and colours like in a little Mexican Hacienda. There is a breakfast bar island in the centre of the kitchen and an open plan sitting room/diner/kitchen. We have a lovely private pool at the back of the house and you can always enjoy the palapa and dining table upstairs. About the neighbourhood
Riviera Tulum is a gated residential area surrounded by the jungle.
You can drive or cycle to downtown (5 mins) where you will find an infinite variety of restaurants and nightlife, our favourite restaurants are El Asadero (Mexican grilled food), Bacaro (Italian food), La Chiapaneca (best tacos ever) and many others! The best mojitos and music are at Batey, get ready to move your hips :)
In the beach side (15 mins) you can find public beaches, beach clubs, National parks, ruins and water sports.
Close by there are ruins (Tulum, Cobá, Muyil, etc), lakes, cenotes, mangroves and of course more beautiful crystal clear white sanded beaches.
Getting around
The beach is about 15 minutes away by car or bicycle (Tulum has an infinite number of speed bumps), the beach road is quite long, you could take about 1-hour crossing from the beginning to the end.
Downtown is just 5 minutes away.
There is public transportation that takes people to the beach and the different areas in downtown Tulum, price depends on where you are going to, from 8 to 15 pesos.
Taxis within downtown should charge you no more than 40 pesos, but to/from the beach could be anywhere from 100 to 300 pesos. If you need a taxi to pick you up we have some contacts we can provide you, all of them use messaging apps.
