About the neighbourhood
Casa en Libres is located on a peaceful street in the very heart of centro. We are 3 blocks to Santo Domingo and the Botanical Garden, 3 blocks to the wonderful Llano Park, 3 blocks to the Jalatlaco neighborhood, and a 10 minute walk to the Zocalo.
Getting around
Getting around Oaxaca is quite easy. Although a car isn't necessary for exploring the city there are many exciting day trips you can enjoy by driving. On street parking is allowed in our neighborhood or a secure parking lot is located a half a block away. For those without a car who want to venture outside the city buses run everywhere or a private car and driver can be arranged.
Most people find that walking is the way to go here in the centro. The city center, museums and restaurants are a leisurely 10-15 minute walk through the beautiful old streets. Also a taxi to anywhere in the city center only costs a few dollars. If going outside the city center, ask first what the fee will be.

How to get there
Most travelers arrive by airplane to the international airport in Oaxaca. If arriving by air it is only a half hour drive to Oaxaca Centro from the airport.
From the airport you can either take a taxi or a shuttle directly to the house, both services are easily arranged at the kiosks in the airport lobby.
If you are arriving in Oaxaca by bus, take a taxi to the house from the station, it’s a short distance.
The physical address is Calle de los Libres, #412. When giving a driver directions to the house say: Calle de los Libres, #412, entre Constitucion y Abasolo, lado izquierda. El color es vino tinto. There is a metal sign that reads 412 located above the window on the right side.
