About the neighbourhood
Lake Vico is located in the lower Maremma, in a strategic area not far from Rome, about 50 km and 110 km from Montalcino, then, at the turn of Lazio and Tuscany. The area is known by the name of Tuscia, well-defined geographical area inhabited by Tusci, or by the Etruscans. In medieval times, and until the end of the nineteenth century, Tuscia was synonymous not only Etruria, also of Tuscany. Tuscia contemporary usage the name is also used to indicate the territories of Lazio and neighboring areas of Tuscany and Umbria. In this area abound of course the archaeological remains of this ancient civilization that was conquered and annexed by the Romans in the first century before Christ.
Getting around
E 'preferable to move the car. Nearby 2 km there is the bus that runs every half an hour and connecting Rome with Viterbo. E 'therefore possible to reach the train and then subsequently the airport
