Very Specal Holiday Venue
Sleeping inside the church was extremely peaceful and silent except for the morning bird song. San Flaviano is a very comfortable well equipped property with masses of bedding & towels. Tess, the owner who is a well known cook keeps the kitchen fully stocked with herbs & spices that she gives freely to her guests. The garden is also full of wild herbs & flowers. The church itself has a big dinning table & is a great place for a party. fantastic acoustics! We sang & danced all night. Everything you need is supplied and all the furniture is super comfortable with a feet up policy. Sunrises, starry nights, wild flowers, privacy, fresco & pollution free!

Beautiful, relaxing and great food :)
I really enjoyed my stay in San Flaviano Monastary, it was very peacful in the middle of the countryside with gorgeous views. The building was lovely with really comfortable bedrooms. The food was amazing. I found the owner Tess really helpful and friendly. We went on some lovely day trips to the flower fields and local towns. I would definitely recommend San Flaviano Monastary to anyone looking for a peaceful get away in the beautiful Italian Countryside.

Magical retreat venue
It is incredible, this magical feeling that San Flaviano has. With the ancient building, elegantly decorated with chic furniture, with it's swimming pool, with breathtaking views from dining or working table, spiritually charged rooms, I loved to teach and stay in San Flaviano and would definitely choose a place to organise my own yoga retreats.Thank you for the owners for filling the venue with love!

Fabulous setting in rural Umbrian countryside
I had a wonderful time staying here set in untouched Umbrian countryside. Traditional rustic rooms with lots of charm, and the beautiful old church where we practised yoga-lovely acoustics. Recommend visits to nearby Spoleto and Assisi. Also delicious local food:-) must see sunrise and star/moon-gazing.

Pure bliss & serenity
I would spend my whole summer here if I could. There is a quality-no-spirit here which reminded me that I don’t “ have” a soul I am a soul. Unpretentious and intimate with wonderful small towns nearby to wander around with few tourists and no crowds. The owner, Tess is a woman with such a grace about her. Well traveled, grounded, interesting and easy to talk with or not if you want to just rove about the the Sibbillini hills. Also easy to go off for a few days to nearby Spoleto or take the train to Rome. The word magical is vastly overused but it is true when talking about San Flaviano.

Magical
This incredible complex is located in Perugia, and easy train ride from Rome. It's truffle country, incredibly lush with gorgeous little towns and buildings along the way. You'll never see a place like this again, a perfectly renovated monestary from the 17th century - each room is stunning. The beds are comfortable, the food is amazing, there are great hikes in the green hills, amazing views. Even the day trips were stunning, either to little villages or smaller cities with cathedrals and other sights. It was one of the best places I've ever visited, would highly recommend.

A piece of heaven
If you want to make a break in your crazy life and take some time for yourself, this is the place to be. This ancient monastery, renovated with taste and love, will help you find peace and regain energy. Moreover Tess is an adorable host and a fine cook who will make you feel at home.

My transformative holiday in San Flaviano
San Flaviano guest house is a hidden oasis in the Italian countryside that has exquisite accommodation in a renovated monastery. I loved spending my mornings over a cup of coffee enjoying the serenity and awing at the scenery to the adjacent mountains. When I arrived in SF I was in need for a holiday away from the hustle and bustle of city life. The nearest city is a 40 min drive, which makes this place a real sanctuary for finding peace and solitude. Some time alone to practice the art of doing nothing, just like the Italian culture. I will definitely come back again for another transformative time out!

A piece of peace
I stayed in San Flaviano on May 2018. No better place to celebrate my 50 years! Wonderful food, lovely people, good yoga sessions. A special thanks to Tess who welcomed me as if I was part of the family (and I may be part of the family now). Her precious guidance remains in my heart.
