This cottage is just what is needed for a relaxing break. Perfect location to explore the Sutherland area. We saw great beaches at Dornoch and Golspie. The views are amazing and there are many woodland riverside and loch walks.

About the neighbourhood
While Sutherland's West coast is justly famous for its breathtaking mountain scenery and traditional crofting lifestyle, the East coast is increasingly well known for some of the best links courses in the world. Golf courses at Golspie, Brora and Tain, the Championship course at Royal Dornoch as well as smaller courses at Helmsdale and Bonar Bridge. These offer golfers of all abilities an astonishing range of challenges. Great places to visit include Dunrobin Castle, the cathedral at the Royal Burgh of Dornoch, Glenmorangie and Clynelish whisky distilleries, Royal Dornoch Golf Club, the late Queen Mother's home Castle of Mey, the Falls of Shin where you can see wild salmon leaping up great waterfalls, Smoo Cave at Durness, and of course you can stand at the top of Britain at John O'Groats...
