Our delightfully refurbished Welsh stone cart shed, Tilley's Cottage, provides very comfortable accommodation to the visit wales Four Star standard. Set in a peaceful rural location, the Cottage enjoys stunning sea & countryside views and spectacular sunsets. There are breathtaking countryside and coastal walks on your doorstep, as well as quick and easy access to two beautiful beaches.
The Cottage is accessed through an outer stable door and an inner door leading directly in to the lounge-dining room. This room has vaulted beamed ceilings, stone walls. slate flagstone floor, woodburner and the original stone archway which was once the entrance to the cart shed. Adjoining this room is a newly refurbished handmade pine fitted kitchen with sea views.

Tilley's Cottage is part of our smallholding and is located next door to our farmhouse (you can get a good idea of the layout on street view). When you arrive someone will usually be here to show you into the cottage and we are often on hand should you need help with anything during your stay. We are always happy to recommend places to visit and things to do - so if you need any information, please ask!

Lovely cottage with everything you could wish for. Warm and cosy, and great drying area. Beach and walks from the door. Dogs have a fab time. Check out the mill cafe for breakfast.

About the neighbourhood
The area around Tilley's Cottage is a stunning mix of countryside and coastline. Access to the coast path is a mile away. The Strumble Shuttle coastal bus service (from right outside the cottage gate) can be used to get to a start point and walk back without you having to use your car. There are two good pubs within half an hours walk from the cottage - The Sloop at Porthgain and The Ship Inn at Trefin. Porthgain is a pretty harbour village - once a thriving industrial area, it now has two interesting art galleries and an award-winning restaurant. Two miles from Tilleys is Abereiddy beach with toilet facilities, free parking and a refreshments van selling locally produced food (open Easter to October half term). Getting around
The Stumble Shuttle, route 404, walkers bus service runs daily in the summer and every Thursday & Saturday during the winter. You can stop any bus right outside the cottage gate, ride along to anywhere between St David's and Fishguard - and walk back along the coast path.
There is also a regular daily bus service between Fishguard and St David's - Richards Bros, route 413.

It is easiest to get here by car. Most guests travel from the East and the journey should take roughly two hours once you have reached Cardiff. If travelling from the North, we are roughly two hours from Aberystwyth. We will give you detailed directions on how to find Tilley's Cottage before your holiday begins.
