As an English couple staying in Guadeloupe we were a little concerned about the language barrier and exactly what to expect from our stay. We are beach people and Guadeloupe offers this in abundance, We had stopped a couple of nights in Le Gosier and would have described our accomodation there as rustic........we were delighted when we arrived "Le Camilou" where we found an absolutely delightful accomodation and a warm and friendly welcome from Catherine and Thierry not to mention the passion fruit Rhum.......the apartment is first class offering all you will need for an amazing stay. Eating out is not the cheapest and we found ourselves spending all day on the beach and coming back to Le Camilou where we prepared our own meals each evening and sat out with a bottle of wine with not a care in the world. All facilities are first class. We can only describe Catherine and Thierry as one of the friendliest couples we have had the pleasure to meet and although we spoke very little French Catherine and Thierry had little problem making us understand, guiding us on what to do and where to go. We can not thank them enough, they also gave us real easy directions to the apartment. A hire car we would say is a necessity in Guadeloupe and we found driving quite easy. A highly recommended place to stay. And yes Catherine and Thierry you are welcome to visit us if you are ever in Cornwall it would be a pleasure. Miles and Sharon

Idéalement situé dans Saint François, proche des commerces, de la marina et des plages à pieds, nous avons passé 2 semaines idylliques. Tout confort, refait à neuf, avec une terrasse à l'abri des regards dans un petit jardin tropical, qu'il est doux de prendre son petit déjeuner. Je vous conseille vivement ce gîte plein de charme.
