For those who want some Spiritual Uplifting, we offer Meditation Classes and Seasonal Ceremonies including Drumming!. In the Evening you can do Moon Bathing and Star Gazing, in the Garden on our Comfortable Lounge Beds or Hammocks.
Christy teaches Organic Gardening Classes as well as Plant based Cookery Classes. If you have a group of Friends who are interested, you can book and request your choice.
We are located 2 minutes drive from the best Beach in Barbados - Carlisle Bay, where you can snorkel in the shipwrecks or just sunbathe, walk & swim with our friendly sea turtles!! Our beaches are amazing with clean white sand and turquoise crystal clear waters!!
The Property is set in 1 1/2 acres of beautiful organic tropical gardens where no toxic chemicals have been used for 30 years. We grow organic fruits, herbs and veggies. PLEASE NOTE: The Palmetto apartment has a private semi garden bathroom located just outside the main door of the apartment.
Christy is also an Unique Artist and Crafts person. Her Amazing Artwork is displayed around the house for sale-just ask her!

We try to think of everything but if there's something you need just ask and we will assist you however we can.
Cancellation Policy:
A reservation, whether by letter, e-mail, or telephone, is a legally binding contract. To protect against late cancellation and Guests not turning up, we are obliged to put the following policy into place.
If your booking with The Chi Centre is cancelled more than 60 days before your arrival date, no charge will be made.
If your booking with The Chi Centre is cancelled 30 days or less, before your arrival date, there is no refund!
No shows, late arrivals, reduction in the number of people in the group, and early departures are all non-refundable.
In the Event of a Guest arriving a day earlier, or wanting to leave a day or 2 later, if we have the room available we are happy to look after you!

Interaction with guests: Check in Time is 4pm, If your flight arrives early in the day you can have an early check-in for 23 pounds. Check out time is 10.30am, if your flight leaves late you can extend your check out for extra charge depending on how long, providing the Apartment is not booked!
Chrissy was a fantastic host. She was very accommodating, helpful and friendly. There were several mornings where she encouraged us to get up and go to the beach for a sunrise swim and the same in the evenings. This was an incredible experience and gesture as we would swim with the turtles and visit Cuz Cutter for food just around the corner from Chrissy’s favorite beach, Carlisle Bay. She’s incredibly passionate about the area and her home.
We were lucky enough to have several delicious breakfasts cooked by her and her partner. Having breadfruit straight from the tree with the best coconut sauce was by far one of the best meals I’ve ever had (far better than choosing breakfast out). Although if you do choose to venture off the property for an early bite to eat, they have Tiki Pies just a few minutes away from the house.
I will most certainly visit again! Loved it and the hospitality from Chrissy and Box.

Homely Barbadian feel
Overall I had a very calm and relaxed trip, and the Palmetto apt did contribute to that.
The bed is great in size, and very comfortable. The room itself was neat and tidy when I arrived.
The location was great being so close to Browns beach and being someone who grew up in Barbados, I can say the style of the house really gives a homely Barbadian feel; being so close to nature right outside your door. Which is always refreshing in the sunlight

Sweet & lovely Bajan home
I had a wonderful time staying here with my partner, the room itself is large and perfect for a couple. There is closet space, a kitchen, a desk area, and toilet with a shower & bathtub, and the bed is big and comfortable with a mosquito net if you need it. The house is beautiful, and you are constantly surrounded by green, and you are a short drive or walk away from Bridgetown, the beach, and many local places to eat. The host is very welcoming and knowledgable about the country, and I look forward to staying here again!

Amazing host, great location, tasty food, dreamy holiday!
This is the second time I have stayed at this beautiful retreat and all I can say is its totally dreamy! After recovering from my flight with a good night's sleep in the very comfy bed I couldn't wait to have some more of Christy's Delicious home made foods for Breakfast, her amazing Organic Coconut Milk and Raisin Oatmeal, or her wonderful Organic Wheat-free Banana Pancakes are so YUMMY!!
When I relaxed in the hammock and listened to the parrots chirping overhead, saw a Hummingbird pollenating a flower and then a troupe of monkeys silently came and stole Jamoons (a plum-like fruit), I felt I was in heaven!! Later on, Christy gave us a tour of her garden pointing out the Organic Fruit Trees, Mango, Pomegranate, Sapodilla, Guava, Lime, Avocado, Breadfruit, Sour Sop and a few others I can't remember!! not to mention her Organic Curry Leaf Tree and Bay Leaf tree, both are AMAZING especially when Christy makes us her Bay Leaf and Lemon Grass Tea fresh from the garden, this time I also got to taste her Organic Sage and Lemon Grass tea which is just as delicious, and the Organic Lime Juice she makes is like nothing else!!!
Christy is full of good tips and ideas of trips we could take by ourselves, (she specialises in drawing her Guests little maps to make it easier to follow!!) and we also decided to take her up on a Private Island tour, which was worth every penny as she surprised us with some very interesting, unusual and 'off the beaten track' beauty spots that Barbados is so full of, but not so easy to find unless you know where you are going!!
I returned back home feeling relaxed and refreshed and revitalised after the comfort of the Chi Centre and Christy's generous hospitality together with the stunning Beauty - the Island of Barbados will always be my first choice!!

Cozy, tranquil and very welcoming
We had a lovely stay here last winter! Christine and Victor are very friendly and hospitable - they took us on little tours of their property and neighbourhood, out grocery shopping, introduced us to their friends, organized a campfire night and more. They definitely took our preferences into consideration and we felt very much at home!
The room itself is cozy and tastefully appointed, There's also a kitchen and a little deck area. The communal spaces are even better, especially the dining veranda with the hammock! There's a beautiful big garden with a large variety of trees and plants, and two adorable, well behaved dogs. Another favorite aspect of mine were the meals: very unique, varied and healthy, all made with local fresh ingredients.
All in all, this place, to us, really was a little paradise and we were sorry to leave. Especially recommended for vegetarians/vegans and anyone who wants to relax in a peaceful, green, natural setting and explore Barbados at a low key pace.

Hi Elena, It was certainly a pleasure having you and your lovely daughter to stay with us, we did have some fun together! We have just been growing some more unusual plants which we brought back from other islands from our travels! We are excited to watch the new seeds grow!

Einfache aber gute Unterkunft
Meine Freundin und ich waren das erste Mal in der Karibik.
Wir wurden sehr herzlich im Chi Centre empfangen. Christy ist sehr nett, hilfsbereit und gab uns viele gute Tipps über Sehenswürdigkeiten der Insel.
Sie nahm uns zum einkaufen mit und buchte für uns kurzfristig eine wunderschöne Katamaran-Tour und ein Auto. Die Transfers zum Flughafen haben auch sehr gut geklappt.
Das Apartment selbst ist sehr schlicht eingerichtet, hat aber alles was man für einen Aufenthalt braucht. Leider muss man, um das Bad zu erreichen erst nach draußen gehen. Das war uns vorher nicht bewusst gewesen.
Die Küche teilt man sich mit dem Nachbar, stellt aber kein Problem dar.
Die Wohnung ist sehr hellhörig, vor allem die Hunde von Christy störten beim Schlaf, weil sie bellten.
Für den Weg zum wunderschönen Strand muss man ca. 25 min zu Fuß einplanen. Insgesamt ist die Wohnung etwas abseits gelegen, so dass die Wege zum Supermarkt oder Restaurants weiter sind.
Der Garten von Christy ist sehr schön, Sie baut viele verschiedene Früchte und Kräuter an.
Wenn man kein Problem damit hat sich selbst zu versorgen und auch mal weiter zu laufen und das wahre Leben auf Barbados richtig kennenzulernen ist das eine gute Unterkunft.

Welcoming
Christie is a fantastic hostess and was very accommodating after we arrived following a 10 hour flight. Room photos are accurate, though there are fewer common areas than depicted on the chi center website. Chtistie's meals were grea, but pricey, as is dining anywhere on the island, so I'd recommend making the most of the self catering if you're watching your spending. Christie took us to the supermarket which we really appreciated and gave us a tour of the garden. No AC so might be uncomfortably hot in the summer months.

We do have a 'Portable' AC unit for the Palmetto Apartment should Guests require it, but so far no Guest has ever complained of being too hot as our standup fans are very cooling and efficient! We look forward to you coming to stay with us again when you want to escape the Cold Weather again!

Great value
This place is located a bit outside of the center of Bridgetown, about 20 walk and 15 minutes from one of the best beach around. This is perfect if you want to relax and enjoy a very quite environment. Local buses stop very close by and can take you anywhere on the island. The rooms are clean and spacious and the host is fantastic and super friendly, she will literally go out of her way to make your time as enjoyable as possible. Not to mention the tropical garden filled with beautiful vegetation, humming birds and even monkeys if you're lucky enough to spot them.
I definitely would recommend this place.

Unique, energizing and educational.
Greeted by a fun and enthusiastic personality that truly showed us the best of Barbados as well as making us feel at home in our Ixora apartment. Her creative vegetarian food creations for breakfast included fruits and veg cultivated and freshly hand picked from her garden- totally delicious. With Her wealth of knowledge of the island, Christy took us on guided tours and treated us to the best local and untouched areas to explore. After our adventurous long days we knew that we could settle in for the night in our comfortable and spacious living area and were lucky enough to be be treated with a raw hot chocolate infused in fresh coconut milk, before bed- What a treat! Just a short walk away from a pristine beach, this is a gem of a place to stay.

We are in the Diplomatic Area of the Suburbs of Bridgetown where it is very quiet and peaceful away from the Tourists, but very close!!
The CHI Guest House is a Plantation Style Coral Stone house set in 1 1/2 acres of Tropical gardens with Hummingbirds, Parrots and Monkeys passing through! We have the bids singing by day and the whistling frogs and crickets chirping at night! Everywhere is in walking distance, but there are Buses, Collective Taxis (ZR Vans) and Private taxis too! Our Rescue dog is a beautiful placid Akita called Tokyo and she loves children! There are Banks, Restaurants, Takeaways close by and the best in Barbados is 2 minutes drive or 20 minute walk. You can get a Government Taxi from the airport which costs $70 Barbados = $35US, and takes about 15 -20 minutes depending on traffic.
We are in Pine Gardens close to People's Cathedral, the Taxi can call
me for exact directions. You may want to ask him to stop at Channel Supermarket to get Breakfast supplies, or Cheffette, if you are hungry when getting off the plane! He will charge a waiting fee.
