We just returned from an incredible family vacation staying at Anam Cara Villa. Bridget was extremely helpful leading up to our vacation and responded quickly to messages, answered questions, and even provided information for us to have dinner cooked in house by a local chef the night of our arrival.
The house itself was spacious, clean, and very well appointed. The airline lost our luggage and we were thrilled to find that every shower had small bottles of shampoo and soap to hold us over until our bags arrived. There was even a cooler that we were able to use for beach trips! It is down a dirt road and renting a jeep would be a good idea to make the trip easier.
Chico and Elizabeth gave us a tour of the house, cleaned mid-week, took care of the pool and any issues that came up, and helped us with info during our stay.
We did not use the beach or waterfront at the house because (perhaps due to the storm) there was a large amount of seaweed while we were there, but it was a short drive to Savannah Beach and Nail Bay and those beaches are incredibly beautiful and most of the time empty. We vacationed in June and the weekend had some other families on the beach but mid-week it was ours alone.
Gun Creek is just around the corner from the paved road and you can get free water taxis over to Bitter End and Saba Rock for dinner or drinks.
We had a great trip!
