We enjoyed a wonderful 10 days at Wakedon Cottage. The location was perfect for seeing the beautiful villages and countryside in the Derbyshire Dales. The cottage was quiet and peaceful just what we were wanting. Thank you Keith and Daryl for everything.

About the neighbourhood
In the immediate area you have a choice of many museums, and everywhere there are many remnants of the industrial revolution. Within a short distance are:- The National Tramway Museum, The Cromford Canal, Leawood and Middleton Pumping and Hauling engines, Cromford Mill, Masson Mill, Belper Mill. Then there are the lovely villages of Crich, Matlock Bath, Cromford, Wirksworth and Belper. After that there are several steam railways with 5 miles, or simply hire a rowboat from Belper River Gardens, (take a picnic if you want to enjoy a long slow trip up river).
