A spacious shaded veranda with seating arrangements for all is available, from where you can enjoy the spectacular uninterrupted view of the whole Saronic gulf, from the east, , right up to the distant mountains of the Peloponnese to the west. The kitchen is fully equipped with coffee maker, fridge, oven, electric cooking plates, dishwasher and all the pans and pots, crockery, cooking utensils and glassware you may need for all your cooking.
The house is safe for children and the 2.000 sq.m. property is gated. Stroll the garden and feel free to pick up fresh figs or lemons from our trees.

WHILE IN AEGINA
After having explored the town of Aegina and its antiquities, take a taxi, a bus or your rental car to the famous Aghios Nektarios church & monastery, and the ancient temple of Afaia Athina nearby. Continue towards Aghia Marina with its huge sandy beach and multitude of hotels, bars, cafes and restaurants for a full day of swimming, dining and dancing.
On your way back in the evening, be sure to take the road which runs along the northern shore of the island. Enjoy the spectacular views of the Saronic gulf and the myriad lights of Athens and Piraeus simmering in the distance and reflecting on the calm sea in the distance-unless of course you are staying at Danae's, when you can enjoy this wonderful view from the comfort of your veranda every single evening !
You must give this excursion a full day.
Of course, if you prefer, there are guided tours of the island as well.
While in Aegina, you can also visit the small island of Agistri (about 3,5 nautical miles away) for a full day of swimming and exploring, or take a boat to the picturesque Poros island (only about one hour)
Another MUST DO if you are in Aegina in the summer, is to go to the open-air cinema for a movie. Once common in Greece, they have become more and more sparse in the last decades, but you can still find a choice of two or three in the town. Films are first rate and very recent. There is no stereo Dolby Digital 5 channel surround sound, but you sit in the open, every two chairs separated by a small round table, and you can watch the film while drinking your cold coke or orange juice or eating potato crisps, pistachios or even your souvlaki !
Last, but not least, other activities include snorkeling, diving (there is a diving center in Aegina), music and dancing bars (dozens) sailing school for children, sightseeing, bicycling.
Aegina is superbly suited for vacations of families. It is quiet enough for the older members, while having enough activities and nightlife for the younger ones to enjoy themselves.
GETTING TO THE HOUSE
The house is approximately midway between Aegina town, the famous Afaia ancient temple and Aghia Marina sandy beach, (all about 10-15 minutes out), making the location a superb starting point for exploring the whole island.
A car is not necessary, especially if your stay is short, as you can use a taxi which is convenient and cheap (a taxi ride to Aegina costs about 8-10 Euros). However, if you would like to explore, a car is desirable. A rental will set you back around € 20 per day (depending on the season) and Manuel can pre-book it for you. You can park it for free, inside the property.
In any case, Manuel will offer you a complimentary pick-up and drop-off service from (and to) the port.
Feel free to contact us with any questions, we are only too happy to help ! We are committed to making your stay in Aegina an unforgettable experience !
I stayed with my wife for a long spring weekend at the end of April. The house is very spacious, clean and bright, It is fully equipped with all the catering and electrical appliances for a full self catering option if you want to do that. We had a wonderful bbq one evening, but mostly we tended to eat out. The hosts, Manos and Danae, were full of wonderful suggestions for places to eat and drink and areas to visit during the day. They made us feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble for them; they even picked us up and took us back to the port.
The house is on a hill in a quiet neighbourhood and the location is really what makes the place. There is nothing better than coming back in the evening after a long day's sightseeing and sitting outside in the beautiful veranda taking in the magnificent views of Aegina! Wish we were back there now!

Absolutely spectacular !
The pictures do not do justice to this wonderful place! Four of us stayed there for a week in late January, and the house is all we hoped for and more ! Bright, clean and more than fully equipped.
Danae and Manos, our hosts, lived upstairs and were fantastic hosts, always available for help and suggestions. They even surprised us one day by sharing their cooked food with us !!!
The views are absolutely stunning - Athens on the horizon with its myriad lights reflecting over the calm sea at night is a sight we will never forget.
Manos was kind enough to pick us up from the port on our arrival, AND drop us off on our departure. The house had central heating which was good to have in January-most houses in Aegina just have warm-cool airconditioning untis.
We will definitely stay there again ! Thank you Danae and Manos !
