Spacious apartment off the beaten path where you will have a unique opportunity to connect with nature. Ideal for couples, families or groups of friends. The unit provides a magical view of Caonillas Lake from the bedrooms. WiFi throughout. Direct access to the lake. 10 minute drive to the River, and various local restaurants 10-30 minutes away. 20 minute drive to Jayuya or Florida.
This two bedroom apartment has a very comfortable queen bed in the Master and bunk beds in the second bedroom. Spacious bathroom. Fully equipped kitchen with gas stove, oven and a large refrigerator. Dining table for 4 (more chairs available). Large family room with a sofa bed and air mattress if needed. The front patio has a table with four chairs. There is parking available for 2 cars.

Birding Galore - 5 stars for location and price
The view and property is definitely the best part of the place. You can
you can do some great birding and exploring! You can walk all the way down to the lake and also kayak on it. The views from the outside and even the bedroom are incredible gorgeous.
It's very easy to locate on google maps by typing in "Caonillas Lakeview" .
The apartment was simple and could definitely use some minor repairs and amenities which we suggested to the owner - who was very receptive! He is working on updates this weekend as well as finishing the adjoining apt for rental. His plans are also to create some "glamping tents" as well as a hot tub on the property.
The roosters will wake you at 330am (the coqui frogs are also active all night but didn't bother us) but the bed was extremely comfortable and we slept very well. With the fan on (which also drowns out some of the outside noise), the temp was nice and cool. There's no A/C but it's not even needed. Hot water in shower also worked well. Having a full kitchen was also great - fridge, sink, over, stove and he will be adding a microwave.
There was wifi throughout the apartment and it worked great. Cell service was also there if you have Verizon or Claro.
We felt extremely safe the whole time and there's a fantastic little coffee shop/restaurant only a few minutes walk down the road. It takes about 20mins to get to the main town area through winding tight roads, but they are all in great condition. The restaurants in the main town of Utuado were great!
We would stay here again.

It would or could have been better had the property owners had a handle on the front door replaced the shower faucet, the toilet for an elongated one and replace pedestal sink with sturdier vanity sink with cabinet! Aside from that it was awesome and well be back in a couple of years, Thanks!

NO RECOMENDADO! El lugar no es similar a lo que se ve en las fotos. La limpieza del mismo no era agradable. La carpa del Glampling estaba llena de hongos y limo. Dentro del mismo encontré una cucharacha que llevaba varios días muerta. La lámpara de la mesa de noche estaba llena de hongos y limo. Sin hacer mención del piso adentro y el área de la cocina llena de suciedad de grasa pasada. Una total decepción y mala experiencia. La comunicación para la devolución del dinero de limpieza fue de varios días. Demoraron varios días en responder por lo sucedido. No se dejen engañar!!! NO NO NO. Te lo venden como que tiene jacuzzi y NO ES UN JACUZZI. ES UNA BAÑERA EN LA PARTE DE AFUERA

About the neighbourhood
Utuado is a magical place full of a wonderful and unique energy. Caonillas Lake is the third largest lake in Puerto Rico. The Apartment sits on a property of 40 acres at the shore of Caonillas Lake. Please note that the property is far from Downtown Utuado (about a 30-minute drive). There is very limited cell phone reception, but it' perfect for disconnecting for a while from the hustle and bustle of daily life and technology.
We have only 2 neighbors and they are 100 meters away from the house. There is a coffee shop (Cafe Bohio) at a 10-minute walk or 2-minute drive. Like everywhere in Utuado, we have lots of animals and birds on the property. Typical farm animal sounds are common. There is a gas station 4 km away, not walkable
