Our beautiful home in the mountains boasts panoramic views surrounded by , greenery, flowers and fruit trees bearing various tropical fruits when in season. An expansive tiled and covered patio furnished with tables and seating overlooking the "Buena Vista" draws you throughout the day and night. There is a charcoal grill and a wood burning fireplace. Bring you own fuel or Ferdy can sell some. You may also enjoy cooling dips in the pool and plan your outings to coffee farms or on a weekend take a 45 minute drive to Only 45 min. away is the famous and interesting Aricebo Observatory and Cueva de Ventana, and Guanataca Forest with nicely maintained trails and a small cave. Nearby tour companies offer more rugged activities such as tube caving, zip lining and hiking. Maybe San Juan call...

Keep all house furniture inside. No candles or gas /oil lanterns because there are 3 battery powered lights to use.
Please conserve electricity and water and make certain all the faucets are turned off when you have finished your tasks. Only booked guests are permitted in the pool or showers; there is a limited amount of water in the storage tank therefore please keep showers short. Visitors and events are not permitted on the premises.

Breath Taking
The Pool was stunning and refreshing, after visiting friends and relatives during the day, it was nice to get away and just relax at Casa Buena Vista Peaceful and tranquility.

About the neighbourhood
Country with a smattering of tourists; mostly locals of Puerto Rican descent who are very warm, friendly and eager to help and you will be surprised how easy it is to communicate. Ferdy, your friendly and helpful manager lives nearby and will be about the only person you should be seeing and chatting with at times on the property.
Getting around
All roads are paved but you will encounter potholes and unevenness. Most roads in the mountains are very curvy and narrow so allow enough extra time to get to your destination. Recommend not driving at night because of occasional pot holes and you will get lost. Stay on the paved roads.
Hurricane Maria ravaged many areas in Puerto Rico therefore you will be witnessing ongoing repair.

How to get there
San Juan International Airport (Luis Minos Marin International) SJU. You will get along just fine renting a regular vehicle but take it easy on the roads because some are bumpy and in need of repair. Takes about 1.5 hours to find your vacation casa if you don't get lost, but you will be given detailed directions to help prevent that. Best not to arrive after dark...the mountain roads are very curvy and challenging with cars, horses and pets hampering your travels. You may see many workmen repairing the electric lines to bring Puerto Rico power again; luckily we have power since Jan. 21 2018.
