This modern bright spacious house is found along a little driveway and sits in a large plot of land (3300sqm) with plenty of mature gardens and trees surrounding it. It has a large sunny south-west facing terrace, perfect for eating al-fresco and enjoying the views of the countryside. The house itself provides spacious and modern accommodation, with satellite TV, DVD and a WIFI connection. Just a few minutes walk away, a mini-market, a pharmacy, a butchers and an outstanding patisserie/boulangerie all provide the utmost convenience for visitors. We spent a week at this stunning property with a family of 7, including a 9 year old,3 teenagers and a 21 year old. Locally (5 minute walk), there is a popular restaurant, newsagent, patisserie and tourist information area.
Dieppe is a 15 minute drive away ( you will need a car to get about), and there is a series of stunning beaches in all directions. Beaches are large pebbly, but still great to look at and have plenty of seating areas.
The property itself is pristine, with all mod-cons, including dish-washer, TV, Toaster, Coffee maker etc. I have to comment on the beds as they were super comfortable giving everyone a great nights sleep after long trips to Eurodisney and Paris.
Sarah was a pleasure to deal with and responded promptly and comprehensively to any questions I put her way.
Highly recommended and I hope to return next year.

Light, bright, well equiped modern house ideal for extended family living. Double and twin rooms and a travel cot cover all age groups. Simply furnished which is ideal for small children. Excellent outdoor furniture with generous seating for al fresco dining. A safe flat garden and good parking for several cars.
The village is beautiful with local shops and auberge serving excellent local faire. Good local walks, beaches and sites of historic interest.

About the neighbourhood
The area of Seine Maritime where our house is situated is along the Cote d'Albartre - meaning the Alabaster Coast. It is very similar to the white cliffs of Dover and these beautiful white cliffs continue for many miles all the way along the coastline in Normandy.

It is very wild and peaceful, very green and full of open spaces yet also ancient forests. It really is a magical place.

The house in Varengeville is extremely quiet. There is no noise of traffic as it is not on a main road, but sits down its own drive and in a large plot.

How to get there
Airport: Deauville: 135.0 km
Railway: Dieppe: 8.0 km
Ferry: Dieppe: 8.0 km
Two good ferry routes are:

1) Dover - Calais - 90 minutes crossing time. Then a 2 1/2 hour drive from Calais to Varengeville. This is a good trip if you like do a bit of driving in the UK, stop for lunch on the boat and then carry on with more driving on the other side. The roads are good and clear all the way.

2) Newhaven - Dieppe - 4 hour crossing time, then a 15 minute drive to the house. If you prefer to be able to walk around on the boat this is a good option, rather than sitting in the car. Also good for first-time drivers in France as very quickly you are at the house!

The sailings of this ferry route are less frequent than the Dover-Calais route though, so much less flexibility about what time to arrive and return.
